1st DVC reservation...online check in question

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm thinking Member Services needs to help me with this, so that's where I'm starting.

Hubby and I just booked our 1st DVC stay with our brand new points at SSR for early Sept. I did my request for online check in yesterday and decided I wanted to change the section I was in after taking a second look at the map. The link in MDE is not letting me change that request (the boxes are grayed out but it will let me make new selections). Common DVC occurrence? Should I just contact MS to have them put in my more specific request (was hoping not to make another phone call if I didn't have to). So if the answer is yes, can I make room or building requests online?

All requests should be made to MS, we use the email form on the member website contact us link. The online check in choices are more for cash guests and DVC sees them since they are using the online check in program borrowed from Disney.

Bill, when you email MS with your requests do you receive any kind of confirmation that they received your request? Does it appear on the reservation anywhere? With the online check in you can see what you requested but I wasn't sure how that worked if you emailed MS.

You will receive an email from MS in a few days after they add the request to the reservation. All MS added requests either by phone or email are not visible to the member. Often we would call MS back after using the phone to make requests to confirm that the advisor did their job and actually added the request. On occasion the request didn't get added when using the phone but I have never had a request disappear when emailing.
