Come on, I know there are more like me out there...let it all out!

awww!! :grouphug:
ok ill let mine out... i have a baby thats 7 weeks old.. my husband wants to kick her out of our room.. make her sleep in her room in HER crib?! ( wonders what the heck hes thinking! )
he asked me are you ok with that... i replied NO!!!
that hurts too :(

i remember my oldest childs first day at a baby sitters when i went back to work. i called her every 30 minutes LOL
and his first day of school . i was late for work cuz i had to stop the car to cry.

tomorrow wont feel as bad. promise :)

My DD is going to preschool next Thursday, and I can't WAIT! LOL Am I horrible? :rotfl:

i was the same way when dd started the 3yr old program at her school...now i cant wait for school to start lol....it gets easier...dd was one who loved school and never cried so it made it harder on me that she rather be there then with me lol

awwww...

My youngest is starting K this year in Sept., so I know how you feel. I was wondering if I could drive up to the preschool (teachers come and get your child out of the seat) with an empty van just to have the feeling of going there. I don't think the teachers would appreciate it, but I'm sure they could relate and would have a great laugh.

I miss those preschool days and I enjoyed every moment. Now I have a 2nd grader and a K and it's starting to freak me out a bit. I know I will enjoy my Kindergartener's school experience, since she'll be my last.

 to you!

My oldest just started kinder. I was happy for him but can't believe how old he's getting. Made me a bit emotional.

My youngest started preschool in June and I was sad to be done with the home daycare and onto school. I ALMOST sent her to the preschool at my son's school and if so I would have had one starting kinder and one starting preschool on the same day! :sad2: Would have been way too much for me so I'm glad they were staggered!

If you think today is sad Ladies wait till you drop your baby off at college and drive away the first time.........

Yours still come home for supper everyday :thumbsup2

(and it will seem like the first day of preschool was yesterday how could they be so old already!)

Well, crap. I can't even read this without tearing up! Becomming a mom has made me an emotional wreck!!

I hear you, OP. My younger DD starts preschool the last day of August, and while I'm totally excited for her....a little of me is very sad for me. I'm going to miss the days where I had my babies here with me  I feel like they've gone by waaaaay to fast.

Went to new parent orientation this evening and were made aware of the "Boo-Hoo Breakfast." On the first day of school, the PTA provides a light breakfast and box of tissues for all the new parents at the school.

I'm with Hannathy-I drop my oldest daughter off at college this coming tuesday and I am a total wreck (not letting her see it of course)-but wow 18years went much too quickly!Enjoy it guys,-"don't blink"

My DD is starting K on Monday and I am SOOO excited for her. I have never been one of those moms who is so sad her baby is growing up. I have always been really excitesd to see her grow and mature. I guess I am just weird?:confused3

I will be crying in about 3 weeks when my dd starts prek.

She is my 3rd (and last child). I was done at 2 so this is bitter sweet.

I am excited for her & well I am excited for me too since I will have 2 days of 3 hours of NO KIDS!!!!!! Whooo HOooooo....let the drinks begin.

Seriously I am going to be able to go for a walk those 2 days with out pushing a stroller or a bike. I can go to the store to quickly as I won't have to make a bathroom run & if I do, I am quick. Santa is going to have a great time shopping too.

My youngest left for college last Sept. He has been home all summer and can't wait to go back. When I drop him off this Sept I probably won't see him until the end of the October.:sad1:

Well with my kids spread over a 20 year span, I've experienced it all. My oldest went to K, then it seemed like the next day went to High School then off to college. I totally understand how fast it seems. My ds8 will be starting 3rd grade next Wednesday - I can sit here and remember him as a little baby and now he's only about 6" shorter than I am. And my baby, she starts Kindergarten next week. I'm excited for her (but a little sad too) as she's been waiting for this day for the past 3 years - but I can't say how I'll be doing when she climbs on that school bus.

Aaaw, this makes me cry...they do grow up so fast. I can't believe DD is already 3. I hope preschool went well for your little guy.

Okay I am sitting here with tears hitting my keyboard!!!

My DS is starting Kindergarten in about 3 1/2 weeks. I've been okay with it until now!!! I've actually been looking forward to it. Life is hectic pulling him and his 1 1/2 year old brother apart all day.

And now I feel guilty after reading all the "off to college" responses! I am terrible!!! :guilty:

I was hysterical :sad:at the prek drop off last year. I was thinking that that would prepare me for this year, but I can see already that I will be a mess on Sept 9th!!!

I'm weird with you!

I have a DS (5) and a DS (3) and they are both in school since the younger one turned 3. He has Autism, so has been in special ed. preschool since 3. He LOVES school, though, so it was never a hardship on either end. In fact, I LOVED sending him 4 days a week, for 6 hour days! He even gets to ride the bus home. :thumbsup2

My younger started preschool right when he turned three as well. He has a speech delay, so he qualified for special ed. as well, and he attends the same school. No tears from either of us on his first day either. He is a HANDFUL and a half! I was glad to hand him over to the teacher 4 days a week... ;)

I think it's great when they go off to school. I love seeing them grow, mature socially, and learn new things. They love the structure, social interaction, and change of environment from home. I am a SAHM, so no daycare for them, and I feel like, after 3 years, we ALL needed a change!

Now summertime...THAT is the pits. :upsidedow

I was fine when DS started his first year. - He was ready to make some of his own friends and I was ready for a couple hours off twice a week.

But it was the second year that got to me. - All of sudden, he was at school more days than he was with me. I think that was the difference.

By K I was fine again. - It was just like the next step.

Try to concentrate on how proud of himself he is - it's the fun part of watching them grow. And definitely find something special to do with that time for yourself.

My 'baby' starts on Monday...and honestly, I cannot wait. :woohoo:

He is so excited to go back and is more than ready.

Now, next year when he starts Kindergarten might be a different story...:sad1:
