1st dance

Hello,

I don't know what song to use for our first dance, any suggestions? We are having a violinist at our reception but we are unsure what it will sound like. Does anyone know if they have a list of songs that the violinist plays? Or even where I can hear some samples? We have tried youtube but can't decide.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated..

They send a list with the wedding pack, but it's not very big. the ones they have listed as possible first dances ( apart from Disney selections) are;
all I ask of you "Phantom of the opera"
my heart will go on
unforgettable
what a wonderful world and
unchained melody.

we didnt want to go with any of these and after being informed ( only a few weeks away from our wedding ) that we would need to provide VIOLIN sheet music we have chosen "don't want to miss a thing" as we would have been able to purchase the sheet music for this.
However we have been really lucky, our wedding co-ordinator has just got back to us and told us that although Disney does not hold the sheet music , one of the violinists has it in their personal collection and so we don't need to provide it!
we were also told to be careful with our choice as some tracks would sould so different on violin, you wouldnt recognise the original! I'm trying my best to imagine our track on the violin....I just hope it works ( if the violinist has it already, it must be a good sign, must'nt it? )

Go to itunes and search Disney weddings. You can sample the Disney violinist songs. Most are on there. My DF and I picked Once Upon a Dream form Sleeping Beauty cause we love the words.

We chose Can You Feel the Love Tonight the Elton John version. It was perfect for us.

We had You'll be in my Heart from Tarzan-very pretty on violin. We had an intimate wedding so the violinist played some little Disney ditties- It was great...
There is an instrumental CD that came out a while ago-you might be able to search it on Amazon?
