1983 ticket credit question?

I have a 4 day ticket from 1983(yeah,32+ years old!!)with 3 out of 4 days used,they stamped it with the days and date used back then.I've read threads on these boards in the past mentioning that Disney will give you a day's credit in this situation.Someone in my family just happens to need an AP and they plan to use the monthly payment plan.Could they get 1 day down payment credited from this old ticket???

As I understand it, you can use the remaining day for a park entry but you cannot upgrade or get credit for a partially used pre-MYW ticket. You should be able to apply the original price of an unused pre-MYW ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket, but they will not "price bridge" these older tickets.

The previous post is correct.

They don't give you one day's credit; they simply allow you to use the ticket for admission.

Yes -- I had one day left for one of those that I used a few years back and it's a park hopper and you could use it for Epcot or the Magic Kingdom. At the Window they exchanged it for a plastic ticket one day park hopper worth $128 or so.

You can bring these tickets up to the window and they will convert the remaining day(s) onto an RFID ticket that allows you admission to the park. They will retain the ticket stub for their records, so take a photo of it for nostalgia. Even if you aren't sure personally if it is a hopper, the CM "should" be able to tell. The print on the back helps as well.

Correctly stated, you will be able to finish using the ticket, but there is no credit issued, and certainly is not possible to upgrade the ticket. It will only be converted so that you can enter thru the RFID touch points.

A LOT of guests bring these old tickets with them! Good for you guys for saving them.
