post 469. I saved it to my computer but when I upload it to Vista Print, I get the error messages in my OP. They say they can "stretch" it to make it fit the sign, but then the resolution will be even worse.

What program did you use to save the file in? Most photo editing software gives you the option to change the dpi of an image.

Melanie...the sign above shouldnt need to be stretched, but Im not sure what DPI it is....give it a shot and see if Vista Print will accept it.

Here is one that I made for DH. He hates anything loud or flashy, so this is toned down. It conveys how we feel about The Fort, so that's the point.....right?

I resized your design for you. Click on the link below and you can upload the image in 300 dpi. You should have a clear image for your magnet at this resolution!

That works! But can I ask a small favor - can you copy the one in the other thread, where the letters are outlined in yellow and it is RumrunnerGirl? DH and I like that one better. Thanks so much!

I have redrawn the file Seabee did for you since the one on the board is really too low of a resolution for printing a big magnet. I didn't have the right fonts to recreate the "DISboards member" part that Seabee had, so I just did it in Walt script.

But don't use this one, it's just low res for you to see what I did. Here is the redrawn JPEG file in high resolution, and here is the Illustrator source file, for the best output. Your printer should be able to use either one of these, but I would use the Illustrator file since it gives him more flexibility. Be aware that unless they are using a 6- or 8-color printer, the lime green is not going to be as limey as you see on the screen, 4-color printers just can't do it. Let us know how it comes out, I've been thinking about having VistPrint do some wall decals for me.

Oh man! I'm so sad to hear about this at the eleventh hour! Sad on two accounts: one, I wish you were able to sport a proper DIS sign, and two, I really want to hear what kinda job VistaPrint does. I wish you had PMed me I would have loved to help resolve the problems. But alas, the time for action is passed... forsooth! I do hope the paint swatch helps you find other DISers!
