1900 park fare

I'd like to hear some opinions on this one too.
We had the breakfast booked.... but I cancelled it and booked the dinner so we could see Cinderella.

I have not eaten the breakfast yet - I will be trying it next week! The dinner was, in my opinion, very good. The character interaction was great and the food was better than the average character buffet. More and better choices. Also, the atmosphere was not as chaotic as most character meals are.

Hope this helps! :)

Breakfast gets a majority of excellent reviews for food and character interaction. Dinner gets a mix of food and character reviews, maybe tilting to the negative side.

We always do both, and probably prefer breakfast (with a first seating PS). Early breakfast doesn't seem as busy and the food quality is better than most of the breakfast buffets (omelet bar). Also, for those that have to have the PF bread pudding or strawberry soup, both are available at both dinner and breakfast.

In case you didn't know, characters are different at each meal. Dinner is Cinderella characters (Cindy, Prince Charming, Suzy, Perla working the room and Fairy Godmother usually out in the lobby). Breakfast is titled storybook or something like that. Every time we've been it seems to be more of an English storybook, with Pooh and one of his buddies (Tigger or Eeyore), Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins (with Bert sometimes) out in the lobby.

We've only had breakfast there - but we've had breakfast there 7 or 8 times. Best breakfast on property.

They are both great. I would base my decision upon which meal I prefer and which characters I want to see. Breakfast and dinner both offer good food and lots of character interaction (much better than most character meals).

We did the Cinderella dinner, and it was our least favorite meal of our trip. It wasn't bad, we just didn't like atmosphere, and the food wasn't what we were looking for really, too many sauces for me.

It wasn't a bad meal, the character interaction was pretty good, especially the mice, it just wasn't for us. I'd like to try the breakfast sometime tho!

we have done the breakfast and it was wonderful - just as a side note my DD was 13 at the time and the CM noticed who little she ate and told us that she would only charge us for a childs portion -thought that was nice - my favorite was seeing Mary Poppins though - I just love her....

I'm glad to hear the breakfast there is good because we plan on going there during our next trip! :sunny:

What type of decor does this restaurant have - what's the ambience? Will it appeal to two adults sans children?

I would say do BOTH. The food is very good at both meals and the character interaction is good as well. We've done them with and without children and love it there, though it can be quite noisy.

We haven't tried dinner there yet but this is one of our favorite breakfasts. The character interaction is nice and the buffet is really good!

Better than Boma's or Fresh's breakfasts?

thanks everyone!! The characters is not a big issue, I try to book meals by what they are serving.

What had too many sauces????

I really would love to try dinner here.

I had dinner there wayyyy back like in 1996 I believe. I remember it being good and had interaction with Mickey and Minnie. Minnie was tending to the dessert bar.

This December we went for breakfast and Alice, Madhatter, Mary Poppins (in the front) and Belle were there. I'm thinking there might have been a few from Pooh, but I'm not real sure on that (have to look at the pictures..ha). We had the late seating and it turned out to be fabulous!!

Because there were no other seatings coming the girls got some one on one time with Belle and Mary Poppins (while the waitress was looking for our credit card that she had misplaced!). Belle came and got the girls and took them outside with Mary Poppins and they let them pick flowers out of the garden.

I think the food was adequate, pretty much the same as any breakfast there in my opinion. I was a bit disappointed in the cleanliness at the buffet and the service was crappy. We'll definately give it a try again though, service can be crappy anywhere.

My family absolutely loved our dinner there! The food was incredible! I remember prime rib, chicken, and assorted hot pasta dishes. There is also a dessert table with lots of yummy treats. My 4 yr old niece was dressed in her cinderella outfit, complete with flashing tiara and wand. Prince Chariming was so sweet to her! He spent lots of time talking to her, and commented on her lovely flashing wand. I swear she could not have smiled any bigger. And she keeps asking when we can go back! :flower:

I think I am going to go for dinner, thanks everyone. i will give reviews upon return!!
