My family is planning on going Sunday for dinner and then watching the fireworks. How's the food there? The reviews scare me, but I know everyones different. I'd appreciate any feedback.

We tried 1900 Park Fare last year and found it to be ok. The food wasn't great, one of our party was quite a fussy eater and she struggled a bit with what to eat. I think your paying more for the atmosphere and the characters rather than the food. One good thing is that the food seems to be a bit more healthier than your average buffet, but I'm not sure that we would go back again....

Hello Lynn!

1900 Park Fare used to be one of my family's favorite places and we used to hit it every year. However, over the past couple years we have noticed an appreciable dip in the quality of the place as a whole.

The buffet has been cut down in size and there seems to be a much greater cast member to diners ratio because it seems like a hassle and struggle to get even a re-fill on your drink ... and really ... why is that a hassle? 1900 Park Fare is a buffet so basically the only thing the staff has to do IS refill your drinks! AND ... it seems like they added more tables in the dining area so it is almost impossible to move from your table to the buffet with out sucking it in at least once. I understand using all available space but is it necessary to have people sitting on top of each other?

The last time we went was the final straw! We are very OCD when it comes to Disney and making reservations so we make them as far in advance as possible whether it's 90 or 180 days. So we got there, checked in, and waited 30 minutes PAST our time ... which is fine I suppose ... sometimes people take longer to eat or whatever ... I get that! But then they sat us all the way in the back down what looked like a service hallway ... couldn't see the main area and watched as cast members came in and out of the building through their own door. Really killed the magic for us and we haven't been back since! :guilty:

These are JUST MY OPINIONS! There are a ton of people who really like it and that's fine ... maybe we were a fluke that day; who knows ... but I just wanted to give you the other side! :headache:

Should you decide against 1900 Park Fare and you would like suggestions for another restaurant just tell me if you have any needs or specs for one and I will make some suggestions accordingly!!! :surfweb:

Hope it helps! Take Care & Be Safe! :wizard:

We ate there for dinner in December and loved it. By far our favorite character meal!

The buffet was a nice change of pace, with grownup foods and a great variety. The dessert buffet was extensive. The kid's buffet was the same-old same-old, but it made my kids happy. Our server had a hard time getting to us due to the characters, but did a great job of keeping us taken care of in spite of it.

And the characters! My DD was totally charmed by the prince and thought the stepsisters were funny. She was a bit intimidated by the stepmother, but we enjoyed her. I would go back, for sure.

How is it for breakfast? I was going to try it for our Christmas trip this year. They have characters you don't normally get to see. TIA!
