We did this several years ago and swore we would never go again. Of course I also said we would never get two dogs at the same time and well, we got two dogs at the same time so apparently we don't do what we say.
Anyways, we went with friends who's dd wanted to meet Cinderella so I took the plunge and got an ADR for our group. What a wonderful surprise! The food was so good this time. It was very clean and well organized. The staff was very helpful at the buffet.
Our waitress was the only downer. She never smiled and basically scowled at us when we asked for more drinks (we were very thirsty). Then she messed the drinks up and told us just to keep them. Umm - no, I don't want the coke - I ordered ice tea. Kind of felt like since her tip was already included since there were 7 of us that she really didn't have to put in any effort. We had to flag her down to take our plates away (gets a little crowded with 7 people's plates plus the 14 glasses now on the table). Then we had asked for the bill to be separated for both families. I thought she was going to have a stroke. Her eyes bulged out and her face turned red. We were supposed to tell her that BEFORE we were seated. Yes, we know, we tried but she was in a hurry to screw up our drink orders. Plus now they have that system that you pay at the table so what's the big deal? Apparently a huge deal to her.
But the characters. Oh my. The step sisters were priceless. We had an 11 year old boy with us and they would not leave him alone. Yelled to him from across the room, accused him of leading them on since apparently he was dating our 11 year old dd, etc. I thought he would hide under the table. The stepmother was complaining about all the commotion behind us and asking us if we would mind if she "took care of it" and proceeded to turn around and glare at the table until they became quiet. Even Prince Charming had quite the sense of humor and had our whole table laughing.
Cinderella was very gracious and let our friends video tape her saying how she could not wait to meet their niece when she comes in Nov. The niece is cognitively impaired and is so excited to see Cinderella. She will be so excited by the video of Cindy personally talking to her.
This was probably the best dining we had all week. And I would go again.
