We cannot decide where to dine on our first night in Disney. We have narrowed it down to 1900 Park Fare or O'hana's. We have 2-14 year old girls, a 12 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. We have never eaten at either restaurant.

They are both wonderful! I think it might be nice to treat the kids to a character meal right off the bat! ANd you'll enjoy the buffet at 1900 Park.

1900 PF is hosting Cinderella's Royal Feast, so that may affect your decision. We have that booked on our daughter's birthday. For what they're charging, ($24.95 per adt) they should have at least one other princess there. We're going because it was the only princess meal we could get all week. I'm still hoping to score a cancellation at the Epcot Princess Storybook b-fast.

If you schedule O'hana right, you can watch fireworks from there or walk down to the beach of the Poly and wait for them as well as the electrical water pageant.

These both sound like great options to kick off your vacation. Let us know when you decide.

I would go with 1900. We love the food, the atmosphere is great, and the characters are always wonderful. Plus for us it is at the same hotel, so that adds to the convenience factor.

We just did both places last week. We prefer O'Hana. it is much more relaxing. I have 2 boys ages 9 and 6 and they both liked O'Hana better. also they hosted coconut races and hula hoop contests for the kids near the end of our meal around 7p.m.
