We have 3 kids ages 9,6, & 4. I am planning a MK day so I want to stay near the MK at dinner hour. I already have plans for CP - breakfast, & LTT, & CM on other days...I was going to do the castle for dinner but the menu doesn't look like something our family will like & it's expensive, so I thought of either O'hana's or 1900 park fare..any recommendations? Thanks

Just back from WDW we ate at Ohana's and loved it.....they also have the BEST Pina Colada's there.

i think it depends on your children. do they want to meet cinderella? if so, 1900 park fare is great. the food was really good and the character interaction was also really good. our girls HAD to meet cinderella so we did this. but i never hear anything bad about o'hana, so we are going on our next trip. i think i would just decide if a cinderella meal is a must do for your kids or not. i'm sure either way, you will enjoy it!

You seem to have a few character meals already lined up.

I'd give O'hana's a try. It's different and entertaining for the kids. Hoola hoops, and coconut races. A different kind of entertainment than you would get with the characters.

We are giving O'hana's a try, and are also having quite a few character meals.

If you want a character dinner then go to 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella is usually there at night. We saw Aladdin, Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Pearl Mice, Minnie and of course Cinderella. It was very busy when we went, but the food was pretty good, a good selection at the buffet. 'Ohana in the evening is not a character meal as someone has already mentioned (it is only breakfast they do, and it's a great breakfast) but there is fun and games for the kid's to get into. It's also possible to see the MK fireworks from some of the window seats too. Or you could stroll down to the beach areas at both GF and Poly to catch them from there after dinner...

O'HANA'S! You do have character meals already, and let's face it...we don't always get to enjoy the actual food part of the meal because we are so excited about the characters and taking pictures/autographs etc. The food at O'Hana's is so good...I was going nuts craving it a few weeks ago. You will not go away hungry...the food just keeps coming 'till you burst, and then dessert shows up! It's a great way to see the Poly too, we felt like we were guests of the resort, and let me tell ya, it felt pretty darn good. We are hoping to stay there sometime, even if it's only for 2 nights or so. Plus, if the kids do not care for the dinner, you can request chicken fingers or mac and cheese, at least we did for DS back on Christmas Eve. He ate all the side dishes, but to him, chicken fingers are gourmet... Anyway, we has a great time, and highly recommend it.
