1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's?

Okay--I need an opinion!!!

1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's for dinner on Arrival Day?

To me it would depend on if you want to see Mikey or Princesses..

We enjoyed CM alot, food and characters were great.. 1900 PF we had breakfast and bothe charecters and food were good here as well.

Another thought is if you havent booked yet, you probably wont get CM. Its one of the hardest to get into. 1900 PF easier but you better book now..

We have done both and FAR prefer Chef Mickey's. Contrary to popular opinion here on the boards, we did not find the food significantly better at PF. The strawberry soup is delicious, but otherwise, we thought we could find just as many (if not more) items we at least liked at CMs. Also, we prefer the Fab 5, the atmosphere, and the napkin dance at CMs on our first night...it is a fabulous way to kick off the vacation. We enjoyed the company of Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Tremaine clan at 1900 PF...the step-mother and sisters were GREAT characters...but we don't think they compare to Mickey himself, and we still love CM more.

PP is right. It will be tough to get CMs if you're planning on it for the trip on your ticker. The reason we ended up trying PF was because we couldn't get CM. Keep trying, something might open up!

THANK YOU BOTH!! I have a ressie for CM. I finally found some reviews on 1900 PF and was not impressed. I'm glad that both of you were able to complete the review.

6 weeks on the ticker with all of my ADR's made--so what is there left to do, but re-think them all!

Most reviews I've read about Chef Mickey's are horrible, especially for dinner, so I've never even considered it. My DD wants to see Alice so we're going to do 1900 PF for breakfast. I've read mostly good things about it. I'm still debating on 1900PK for dinner, though .

1900 PF dinner was not good at all. I was pretty disappointed with the food. Been there once, glad I went cause the stepsisters are hilarious, but I wouldnt go back. 1900 PF breakfast on the otherhand was FANTASTIC! The best food.

ive been to C.Mickeys breakfast, food was not the greatest. Never tried dinner thou. yes this place has mixed reviews, but i think its a must do at least once because of the fab 5. Theyre awesome!

The "fab 5" are not restraunts, they are characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. These are the 5 that make the rounds to all the tables at CM.

I agree Chef Mickeys is an awesome restaurant for arrival day! Several years ago I thought PF food was really good, but the last time I did breakfast or dinner at Park fare I said never again. Food was not great, the dining area smelled bad and it was just really bad overall(the characters were nice though) Honestly they are probably both equal in the food area but CM wins for atmosphere-LOL.

I guess I'm in the minority because I find CM at dinner to be just about the worst meal on property! (except maybe O'Hana anytime past 7pm) The wait past ADR time is ridiculous, the place is disgustingly messy by then, and the food is worse then a local $5 buffet. It's a madhouse.
I have a slightly better opinion of it first thing in the morning for breakfast, but only with an early ADR before the huge backup starts and it's over run...

OTOH, I have been to 1900 PF for dinner twice and while the wait can be a little bit past ADR time, the food was WORLD'S better, the restaurant was spotless, and overall the character interaction was much, much better.

Done them both. CM in my opinion was MUCH better overall than 1900 Park Fare. They are both "rushed" meals but we will not be doing 1900 Park Fare again.

We prefer Chef Mickey's, the characters and environment is much more lively and fun for children.
