1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's

Which should I choose for DD's 5th birthday dinner? We will probaby eat at each of these during our trip but was curious which would be the most special for her birthday dinner.

We always do Chef Mickey's for my DS birthday breakfast and we do 1900 Park Fare at Christmas. But if you have a daughter I would definately do dinner at 1900 Park Fare and if you contact them and tell them its for a birthday they can connect you with the cake hotline and you can request a Chocolate Slipper dessert. They bring it out after the dinner and its a white chocolate slipper filled with mousse and either strawberries or raspberries as a garnish with the wording you want on the plate. It's only $16 and a great treat for a birthday girl!

I agree on 1900PF for a girl. Plus, we really liked the interaction that you have with face characters.

Thanks for the idea of the chocolate slipper. Thats perfect considering my dd is not a huge fan of cake.

Definitely 1900 Park Fare for a girl. It isn't as hectic as Chef Mickey's. We will probably do both again on our next trip, but there are plenty of places to see Mickey and few to see Cinderella, especially with her whole crew.

I kind of thought adding the mice here would put this one over the top as the best bargain on the property.

I agree, 1900 Park Fare. I do think the food is much better than Chef Mickeys too!!

Well, I hate to be the odd man out, but I would vote to Chef Mickey's. We tried 1900 Park Fare for the first time on January 3rd. We found to CM waiter (won't mention his name) to be rude, the food was cold, and, with the exception of Alice (who was good) and the Mad Hatter (who gave us arguably one the best character experience we have had in six trips to WDW), found the characters to be boorish and disinterested (re: Mary Poppins, Pooh, & Tigger).

At Chef Mickey's, on the other hand, we never, in four visits, had food that didn't seem warm and fresh, characters that left our kids wanting to stay for another round of table visits, and exceptional service.

While our experience may have been the result of the type of off-day which every establishment is subject to, our visit was so bad that we just don't feel that there is a need to give it a another try.

I would go with Chef Mickey's.

I think either place would be the same attention for a birthday but the food at both for dinner is blech

Definitely Park Fare! We've taken many friends here and all have loved the characters, especially my girls.
The step sisters are a lot of fun, food is very good!
Chef Mickeys dinner - gets a big no from us - but a big yes for breakfast!

If you daughter likes princesses, go to 1900 Park Faire, or better yet, Cinderella's Royal Table.

If she likes Mickey, go to Chef Mickey's.

Personally, I don't like 1900 Park Faire at all.

I think a girl would like the atmosphere of either thought PF maybe a titch more. Things had changed in the food dept., and not for the better. I haven't been to PF in 6 years so I don't think any commentary from me on food is valid. But my last trip to CM in Nov. will be our last for a while. I left and had to go find something else to eat because it wasn't even palatable for me anymore. DH and DS9 both got something to eat DTD afterwards. CMs used to be a ritual for us. First place we ate on property. Not anymore I guess.

1900 park fare! Cinderella danced w my daughter on her Birthday. the Prince was sick lol she still talks about it!
