Does anybody have any experience with the lenght of the 1900 Park Fare character dinner?

We have an ADR at 6:55 PM and then have to be at the Contemporary at 8:45 PM.

I'm having trouble estimating how long it may take us to eat and see all the characters plus the added time of paying our bill and then getting over to the Contemporary.

Your thoughts & opinions on this would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

I think you should be fine! Takes a little over an hour from the time you sit down...monorail back to CR is quick!

It is very hard to say. A couple of weeks ago we were seated within 10 minutes of our ADR, and had the characters starting to hit our table within minutes of being seated. Our ADR was at 7:00 and we were done by 8:20. We do 1900 every trip and that was the fastest we have ever been in and out. On past trips we have waited 30 minutes to an hour past our ADR to get seated at 1900. One time we had an ADR at 6:40 and we planned to watch the fireworks from the GF boat dock, and we did not leave the restaurant until the fireworks were ending at about 9:20- the characters had just left our area when we were seated, and it took forever for all of them to get around to us again. Another time a few years back when we waited well over an hour past our ADR time, we had a 6:00 p.m. reservation, and did not leave the restaurant until right at 9:00 p.m. It is a very fun meal though. You can always leave the restaurant before seeing all the characters if you start running close. We learned early on that we don't plan anything concrete or important after 1900 Park Fare becuase you never know how long it is going to take.

I was also wondering this, as we will be having dinner there for the first time on November 16th before our MVMCP. I made sure to get an early ADR for 4:30pm so we should have plenty of time before the party starts to take our time afterwards and not rush. Very excited for this meal!! :thumbsup2

Did you know you can get into MK at 4pm with a party ticket???

I would give yourself an hour if you want to make sure you see all the characters. Depending on where they are at in their rounds when you are seated you may see them all right away or waiting a bit for them to get to your table.

That's what I'm thinking too. An hour for the meal itself (give or take a bit to see all characters) and then we'll still need to allot time in case we aren't seated right away or if characters aren't near our area quite yet. A bit to think about b/c I really want to avoid a rushed meal just to get to our next destination...maybe a slightly earlier time will pop up in the next couple of days to ease my worries. Thank you all for your thought on this topic!

The meal itself takes about 60 minutes, but we've never been seated on time at 1900 PF. On our last trip we had a 5:30 ADR and it was 6:10 when our pager went off, the trip before that we waited almost an hour. Once in a blue moon we're seated within 10 minutes of our ADR time, but it's rare for us not to wait 30+ minutes from ADR time to being seated.

Had this exact situation in September. We did park fare at 6:35pm and had pirates and pals at 8:45. We made it but barely. We got seated within 15 mins. But between the Buffett and the great fun with the step sisters we were there awhile. We went up to the monorail but fumbled around figuring out where the pirates and pals meeting place was at the contemporary. It all worked out in the end though ;)

I just got lucky and switched our 6:55p ADR to 5:50p...gives us a little more breathing room I think. I'd prefer not to worry about being rushed, however if all goes well, we'll potentially have 1-1 1/2 hours to spare in between. Not enough time to go back to MK but at least a little time to let our food digest/explore the resorts before packing in (eating!) more treats @ Pirates and Pals! Knowing myself, I'll still search for a 6:15-ish ADR to give us a bit more time at MK but that's just me being picky! Either way, it'll work out for the best...after all, we'll be @ Disney!

This is an old thread, but if anyone is still following. I have an ADR for 4:20 at 1900 Park fare, and we are wondering if we could get to HS for Fantasmic! for a 7:30 show following dinner!?! Can anyone advise
