1900 Park Fare... er, parking

So for my daughters bday we're eating dinner at 1900 Park Fare, but also doing MK for the day. Not staying on site, would've loved to get BOG or Cinderella but did not get lucky. C'est la vie.

But I digress.

My question is, can we park at Grand Floridian for the day, or should we still park in the main lots?

Parking for dining and resort touring is limited to a 3 hour window. You'll need to park at the TTC. If you want to park there first just take the monorail over to the GF and then back to the park when you are done.

If you pay for valet parking, then yes, you can park there all day. But I don't think it's any advantage over parking in the main lot. Are you planning to leave after dinner, or return to the park?

I think there is an advantage to valet parking. I think it's easier to park at the GF than the main parking lot and it also feels more special. It's just a few dollars more.

It's the farthest stop on the monorail to get back from the park. The boat may be quicker, but the dock is far from the main building. And it's more expensive at $20+tip. Maybe, if they plan to leave after dinner, then there might be some small benefit. But if they plan to return to the park, then I wouldn't bother.

I am planning to leave after eating - we're staying offsite and we're going on the Fantasy the next day - so I'm looking mostly at the time benefit vs cost. Although I wouldn't object if it were a bit cheaper

It's not THAT much more expensive than what you would be paying for regular parking at the TTC. $7-8 more?? Chump change compared to what you're paying just for dinner.

You can pay $17 to park at TTC, 5+ minute walk or parking tram to monorail station, monorail to MK for the day, then monorail/boat to GF for dinner, then you'd need monorail to get back to the TTC, and walk/tram to your car.

Or you can pay $20+tip to valet at GF, monorail to MK for the day, then monorail/boat back to GF for dinner. Then after dinner valet fetches your car for you. Sounds like it would certainly save time (two 5+ minute walks and a monorail ride) and not cost much more at all to valet park at GF.

For our visit a couple of weeks ago, we needed a confirmed reservation at GF to park there. We also saw similar restrictions at Poly.
