Who has eaten at 1900 park fare for dinner? I've been there for breakfast many times but never for dinner. I've read the menu at allears and it sounds great! How's the food??? Characters??? Any tips when eating there.? Also does anyone know if its going to be any different after the refurbishment? Thanks!

This is one of my family's favorites for dinner! Yummy! The strawberry soup is my favorite. Great choices on the buffet and the kids buffet is very good. Desserts - awesome.

I would check your dates, though, as they are refurbing this restaurant soon and holding the meal at the Grand Floridian Cafe - but not as a buffet. As a pre-plated meal.

Hope this helps.

Oh, the characters are great, too!

We ate at 1900 Park Fare for Christmas supper in 2006. It was fabulous. Right up there with Chef Mickey's (which I loved too).

We love Park Fare for dinner! The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is fun. I highly recommend this.:)

We ate there in May & have eaten there at least 1/2 dozen times (all dinners) this past year.

We've always had a great time...fast service, seen all the characters, good food.

The Fairy Godmother has always been in the lobby for autographs & pics.
During dinner Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzy, & Perla come around.

They have a make-your-own-sundae area for dessert. Yum!!

We'll be there later this month & then again in December for Christmas Eve dinner!!

The food is FANTASTIC! We have ADRs for dinner in Dec.

I do hope they improve the buffet line. The flow isn't the greatest. That whole area is too closed off and gets very crowded. Other than that, I love it.

I guess DH & I are in the minority here.

We just ate there in May. It was our first WDW buffet (we go to WDW four to six times a year; just never eat at buffets). We went with friends who have little girls who are in to the princess thing.

We loved the hotel and the grounds, but we would not return for this meal. The food was lukewarm, bland, and the atmosphere really felt like a buffet. It just seemed very chaotic and way too many hands touching food and utensils.

Also, plan on spending a good bit of time waiting for a character to come to your table depending on what time your ADR is. Our ADR was for 7:30, and we made it to our table by at 7:35. Cindy & Prince were just finishing and exiting out the area we were seated in. Our server told us the characters come out in "rounds" and the next one would be momentarily; that if we'd been seated 10 minutes earlier, we would have made that "round."

We wait, eat, wait, eat. Soon we're afraid to go get food as we might miss characters. Kids are getting cranky. We've now been there over an hour. Finally Cindy & Prince get to the room our group is in, and they're rushing everyone! I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, just not a meal we would return to (and DH & I like character meals; we love the 'Ohana breakfast), especially with such better choices at the GF. Even our friends and their kids weren't impressed.

I'd read hundreds of times on the DIS it was the best buffet in WDW. We were interested in Boma at the time we tried 1900 PF. Not so much anymore if PF is considered the best. We'll stick to places where the food is hot and only a limited number of people touch it.

I called and got the pre-plated menu and posted it on a thread on this board.

I would love to see the pre-plated menu I can't seem to find your posting. Can you direct me? We are having dinner on the 15th for my youngest DD birthday.

We have eaten breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare and loved it in the past. Strawberry soup is my oldest DD favorite.

I found the menu that you posted!!!

princess: 1900 Park Fare Pre-Plated Dinner During the Rehabprincess:

Appetizers - choice of one per adult
Strawberry Soup
House Salad
Mushroom Trangolini (good question, the CM and I had no idea either)
Spicey Shrimp over a grit cake

Entrees
Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and house vegetables
Shrimp Penne Pasta
Smoked Pork Loin with a mustard sauce
Pan-Seared Chicken Breast
Grilled Salmon Napoleon
Herb Marinated Tofu

Dessert
Dessert is one per table and it is a dessert tray with various mini-desserts. The CM did not know any more specifics about the type of desserts.

Children's Menu
Appetizers are a vegetable selection which consists of cut of carrots and celery or a fruit cup. Not sure if she mentioned one other as I was busy writing.

Entress are Penne Pasta with meatballs or chicken fingers with mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots. If you're concerned about the kiddy menu, call back because I was still back tracking on my writing at that point. Sorry!

Breakfast
Scrambled eggs, Mini-Mickey Waffles, stawberry yogurt, breakfast potatoes, sausage, pastries, oatmeal and fresh fruit. This sounds similar to the Ohana character b-fast, which we loved.

I'm so glad to hear so many positive reviews. I hope we feel the same. I have BBB and 1900 Park Fare booked for Christmas Day.

Menu looks great. We are having my DD's birthday dinner there on Sept 5th. Maybe I will have her cake delivered there instead of back to the room. :rolleyes1

Well I will be canceling our adr for this one. I was really looking forward to going and seeing all the charac. but this way I can make ressies at MK since we will be there for MNSSHP that night.

so if anyone wants to go here on the 14th at 5:50 please pm.

We went there last November. It is a new "must-do" for our family! Even DH loved it (but he is all about buffets).

I liked how this meal sounded after reading the menu and also the characters sound a little different than the ones you usually see at the buffets. Prince Charming (who my neice loves and we cant usually find) Also the mice and fairy godmother arent seen around too much. I was shocked by the different selections when i was reading the menu though. Salmon, lasagna, Chicken, sausage and peppers. Something for everyone! Keep the reviews coming!
