Has anyone had dinner here, if so can you tell me what it was like, how the food was & if you have any food pixs thats even better?... Right now I have a res for it but not sure if its really worth the $ espically since im not much a buffet person, so any input is appreciated. Thank you

I wasn't that thrilled with dinner there, but I think you'll find I'm in the minority on the DISboards.

The seating was very close and difficult to navigate when going to the buffett. The buffett was ok and so was the character interaction. My least favorite thing was the very loud calliope that played every 15 minutes or so.

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't my favorite.

We were there on 9/18 and LOVED it. It was our first night, so we made our reservations at 1900 PF. The food was "okay", the desserts were awesome and the character interaction was SPECTACULAR !!! It was so much fun. Cinderella is prim and proper and then came Lady Tremaine and Drizzilla and Anastasia. What a blast they were.

Lady Tremaine kept holding her nose up when my DD4 came to her (like little kids smelled bad). It was funny . My DD kept looking at me laughing and this made Lady Tremaine just go more into the "children disgust me" mode. It was alot of fun.

The step sisters were hilarious. They just bouce around and play w/ your kids hair, bows, etc. Our daughter ( by coincidence) was dressed the same colors as Drizella. (lime green and bright blue) WELL, Drizella took it and ran. (almost literally). She told my DH and I that she was going to take our DD with her because she had a "little doll now that looked just like her". It was so funny. My DD had this look like " I don't think I'm going with you!!". :lmao:

It's worth doing, IMO. It's alot of fun. We also did breakfast, which I think we'd skip next time. But dinner was worth going.

We were there in 2009 & love loved it! But, we were there again this past Aug, because we loved it soo much, and it was not so good. We found that a lot with restaurants we at last & this year.

I'm very easy to please with food (I love it all:lmao:) so I don't think it's fair for me to critique the food but the character interaction was some of our favorites of our whole trip last year. It's funny because my DD was most scared of the stepsisters, more than any villian, those two just really got to her for some reason but she absolutely LOVED this meal. The sisters are hilarious and where else can you dance with Cinderella and Prince Charming?!

Excellent character interaction

Horrible, oversalted food

Terrible service

Had to wait an hour past our ressies time, the hostess said its because diners would not leave the tables because they wanted more character interaction

And I hate to say breakfast is not any better

I'm going to really negative here: but the food is absolutely awful. The atmosphere if very cafeteria and the floor is usually dirty. We went on the dining plan and that was the only reason I didn't beat myself up too much for picking it. Out of pocket for the four of us would have been $135- and that for salad (one of the few edible things along with the strawberry soup), bland carving station, broken ice cream machines and tasteless desserts. I wonder what people who think the food is good here eat at home.

The characters are fun, but I rather just see them in the parks than pay for a very bad dinner.

DH and I are fairly picky eaters and this buffet was not our favorite for main dishes, but I have to agree with the above poster who said the deserts were great. I didn't find the restaurant dirty or anything like that. We did have to wait almost an hour for our ADR and that was a little aggrevating.

We did not enjoy this dining at all :(

We even specifically requested to sit in the main dining areas especailly after we got the snuff at another resturnat that same morning. Our table was awful ! We sat in a seperate wing of the resturant where it's more of like a galley room, a walkway through the middle and a row of tables on each side.

We were seated at the very last table, which while we were there had the doors opened at the very end of the room which looked onto an intertior walkway that let ouside. So the entire time we ate, we got nothing but stopping gawkers trying to stare into the resturant. Not the best when they seat you facing the hallway :(

We were there for about 1 1/2 and had about 5 min of charcter interaction, which was a major disappointment. My kids were pretty sad when we left.

I agree that the main dining area is a maze. Even while we were walking to our table we were weaving in and out of tables and lines of people to get to our table.

I'm 100 % certain that if we had sat in the main dining area where the kids could have a least seen the charcters around, then my review would be very different. But the matter of the fact is for us it just plain sucked.

We just ate dinner there on Friday, October 1st. Out of all our character meals (we did Donald's Tusker House; Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, too) this one was our least favorite. We checked in and only had to wait maybe 15 minutes to be seated. Food wasn't bad - it just wasn't all that memorable. The bread (with the salted butter on the table) was good. Coffee was the best we had during the whole trip. Little fancy desserts were good. Prime rib (I think that was what it was) was a little rubbery but certainly edible. Waiter finally remembered to bring drink refills towards the end. We were ok with not having a lot of character interaction. It was the 'loudest' of all the restaurants we were at but I think that's because the step-sisters get everyone going. My family wouldn't go again to the dinner - but maybe we'd try the breakfast, though.

Glad you asked this question. We had planned a Dinner and Breakfast there. I am rethinking doing both. Trying to decide which one to do now.
