Hi.

We are planning on having dinner at 1900 Park Fare for our DD's birthday (she will be 19). How is the food? Will we feel out of place with no young children?

Thank you!

DH and I went in June for our honeymoon and had a blast. The food was fine and we loved the characters. We love to play along so as long as you are for that then I think you'll have fun.

I thought the food was pretty good. I enjoyed the salmon and the paella.

we're not a big buffet family with the exception of the the occasional breakfast having said that...we had christmas eve dinner there in 2008 as we were traveling with a mixed group as far as eaters go. the set up was great, didn't feel crowded. the offerings were quite varied. most of us didn't love the food, thought it was just ok at best but OMG we had BY FAR the ABSOLUTE BEST character experience EVER there. the women playing cinderella's stepsisters were so in character and were HYSTERICAL!!!!! they spent a lot of time at each table. i've never laughed so much over dinner in my life. i was probably the one person who most disliked the food and given the rest of the experience i'd do it again in a heartbeat.

:thumbsup2

We liked it too. Going back this year. The food was good. The characters were worth the trip all by themselves. The table next to us was an older couple - and the verbal play that went on between them and the Tremaines was hilarious (the male tried to buy one of the daughters). So they play with the adults as much as the children, and I don't think anyone looked out of place. It's Disney.

As others have said, character interaction is great. We liked the carved meat a lot, but were not wild about the buffet in its entirety. However, the character interaction more than made up for it. We will return there.

Two words: Strawberry Soup.

DH and I love this place for the strawberry soup. DD loves the characters (though DH likes Anastasia, but he has a thing for red heads!). We really enjoy it.

I have to say that the food was really pretty good! We were the most surprised our whole trip with how good the food was here. I wasn't expecting great because of the reviews....but it turned otu to be a wonderful breakfast and a great dinner too! I went with my DH, ds14, dd7, and myself of course. :) We all liked eating here alot, and the characters put it over the top. ;)

You won't feel out of place. Go and enjoy. We loved the stepmother and sisters. So rude and so funny! We celebrated a Birthday and it was perfect. We were pleased with the buffet. I would recommend this meal to anyone. The entire experience was much better than the castle, CRT.
Order a Birthday Cake from the onsite bakery. The cakes are wonderful! :goodvibes

So happy to hear the good reviews, especially about the characters. We are doing 1900 Park Fare dinner for the first time in December (this is our arrival dinner). We met the Stepfamily in March while walking around MK and they were hilarious then, and when we found out that they were at 1900 Park Fare, we knew we had to book it...it will be a great way to kick off our wonderful vacation :goodvibes

We thought the food was very good, but the characters made the meal for us. Prince Charming and Cinderella both doted over my daughter (3), who was wearing her Cinderalla princess dress. She still talks about Prince Charming kissing her hand, and still blushes just like she did after he left the table. One of the highlights of our trip.

We loved it! The food is buffet food. Nothing special but IMO nothing nasty.

The characters were so much fun! We have some of the best pictures of the stepmother and stepsisters. They make that dinner!! :thumbsup2

It is a character meal that isn't as crowded as the others. For an adult only meal, I would do it. It was just a fun atmosphere.

Enjoy!

DH and I went in May with no children - we loved it! Characters are hilarious, and we really enjoyed the food. Not the best waiter, but that didn't affect us too much. There are some pictures in my report below!

Haven't had dinner at 1900PF in years, but we have done the breakfast. For both meals I always thought that for buffet food, it was pretty good. It's still buffet food, but a cut above most of the other WDW buffets.:earsboy:

I'm very excited we are going in March and my DD princess: will be 4 so i hope she likes will enjoy it, i think im the most excited of us all.

I made an ADR for this dinner too. I am looking forward to this meal the most. I've heard nothing but positive things about the characters. I'm not really worried about the food, because I made the reservation to see the Step mother and step sisters. :cool1::cool1: I'm more excited than my girls... :rotfl:
