I would really like to try this dinner since we are the DDP (would never pay OOP) and have heard the character interaction here is awesome. What do you think of it for two boys 4 & 9? Is it too girly for them?

Our last dinner of the trip I currently have scheduled for Crystal Palace, but am considering possibly changing it to 1900 Park Fare and would like some opinions on this place for boys.

Our 3 yr old son had a good time when we ate there a few years ago. The character interaction is good & the stepsisters are a riot! The characters were definitely the highlight - we thought the food at 1900 Park Fare was rather sub-par.

I took DS4 and DS6 to dinner there for the first time last June. They thought that Cinderella was OK, she was very regal and talked to the boys like they were princes. They thought Prince Charming was pretty boring. They absolutely loved the stepsisters and thought they were hilarious. They say the funniest comments and act pretty silly. The food was just so-so, certainly not worth the price. But we already knew that, and we were coming to see the stepsisters. Lady Tremaine did a good job of being a bit mean.

I think your boys would probably enjoy the stepsisters. It's fun to do just once with the boys. I think the food is much better at CP.

My two boys last year (9 & 7) endured it for the sake of little sister (2.5) who absolutely swooned over Prince Charming. The step-sisters wanted pictures with the boys, and they thought they were funny.

The boys also found it comical how sister got 5 autographs from Cinderella (her fav princess at the time) and joked that she was some crazed groupie. :rotfl: Cinderella even got a kick out of it when my oldest warned her that the autographs were going to be in eBay once we got home.

My boys were 10 & 7. They loved it. They thought the step-sisters were hilarious. They would definitely go again.

The food was only so-so. Not bad, but not great either. Except the strawberry soup. That was great.

we took our son when he was 3 and he enjoyed it. Cinderella came to him and asked if he wanted to dance with her. It was so cute. The food is ok but the experience was priceless.

We took our boys there when they were 1 and 3. They liked it but they were more shy around these characters than around Mickey and Minnie! I think because they weren't used to the characters actually speaking to them. I didn't think it was too girlie for young boys, but there were a lot of little girls dressed like princesses.

The food was OK. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about either. DH didn't like the food.

We took the boys to Crystal Palace on our last evening of our last trip, and we loved it there. We are going back there for dinner on our July trip. We will try 1900 Park Fare for breakfast instead of going back for dinner this time, as I have heard the breakfast there is excellent. I do love just walking into the lobby of the Grand Floridian...beautiful!

I would keep the dinner at Crystal Palace. The food is excellent, there is a lot of variety, and the character interaction is amazing there!

We ate there in October and DS(age 3 at the time) loved it! For some reason, he LOVED talking to Prince Charming. We managed to see Prince Charming three times while we were there (had an early ADR before the big crowds came) and all three times he stood there forever just listening to my son talk his ear off! He never once rushed off to talk to another table - just stood and listened until DS was done. :lovestruc

As for the other characters, DS could have cared less about Cinderella. He just kept eating his pizza when she came around and only got out of his chair long enough to get his picture with her. But he loved the step-sisters! Thought they were pretty funny and liked the fact that they gave him lots of attention. :goodvibes

I ate here last September with my son and I found the place dirty. The characters were neat, but not worth it.

DS 6 dressed as a storm trooper with light saber. All the characters kept asking if he was there to defend the castle?

We will probably go for breakfast and dinner. We love the stepsisters. DS4 saw them at the MK halloween party and laughed at them giving him a hard time.... they were quiet funny.

My grandsons (age 8 & 10) enjoy the attention from the ladies - and the food is pretty good for a buffet.
