Has anyone been to the 1900 Park Fare char. breakfast? We've been to Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace,CRT, and Cape May Cafe.We wanted to try this at the Grand Floridian, and it does have some different characters. Thanks for any help!!

At least once every trip, my wife and I have breakfast -- and dinner -- at 1900. The food is terrific, the characters are neat and unusual (Mary Poppins and Bert!) and the atmophere festive and fun.

Something yummy: strawberry (and sometimes raspberry) soup. They have this at both breakfast and dinner.

Go! You'll love it!

This is our FAVORITE character meal of all time!

The food is outstanding, the service is topnotch, and the characters are very accessible and a lot of fun!

When we were there in October, Mary Poppins and Bert were in the lobby coloring with the kids, and Alice In Wonderland, Tigger and Pooh were making the rounds of the tables. We were there on a Sunday. I have heard on other days, you might see Eeyore or the Mad Hatter.

Thank you so much for the quick responses!! I am so glad you enjoyed it too!! We have a ps for 11am. We were thinking we'd go to the park early for EE and then by 11 we would be ready for a nice relaxing meal!

We are going there Sat for our second time. We loved it last time so much. All the food was great. We are really hoping Eeyore is there this time that is the one our friend REALLY wants to see. Fingers crossed. If not we will have to find him in the park.

I think this is a great breakfast.

When we were there in October, Pooh was wandering around with Alice when he spotted a little baby (probably around 7 or 8 months old). He gestured to the mom, asking if he could hold the baby.....mom said OK. Well, he picked the baby up and cradled her so sweetly. He then placed the baby on the floor, sitting up, and he sat down with her and played with her for about 5-10 minutes. Everyone was running over to take photos, except for the baby's mom (which I thought was a bit strange! - - if that was my kid, I would have used up all my film :p).

It was so touching and adorable! The baby was about as happy as a kid could possibly be, and Pooh was having alot of fun!

Finally, poor Pooh couldn't get back up due to the costume, so one of the waiters helped him up. Guess he had too much HUNNY!

You'll love 1900! Make sure you get a made-to-order omlette. They're yummy!

We try to hit it at least once a trip as well. I think it is the best character breakfast on property. They make omletes to order, the strawberry soup is to die for, and the OJ just tastes better here than anywhere else. Plus, any opportunity to walk around the Grand is a plus. Give it a try, chances are you'll like it.

I think I will put this on my next trips PS as I really enjoyed the strawberry soup this year at dinner.

We ate there on New Year's Day. Great breakfast..best by far qulaity of food and made to order omlettes. CM very attentive, beautiful room, May Poppins was at check in, Tigger, Pooh, Mad Hatter, and Belle circulated. (I think Belle was sub for Alice). After Breakfast.hop the monorail and off to the park. We will do this one again!

Oh yeah....the strawberry soup!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

At what date can I call to make PS's for the 1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast?? We were there last October for our Honeymoon and now we want to go there for our first anniversary trip :jester:

Is it only 60 days in advance? or longer?

It's 120 days for restaurants in the resort hotels.

You'll love it -- go and enjoy! :bounce:

I am sooo glad I made ps's for this breakfast!! It seems like you all enjoyed it VERY much!! I will have to try the strawberry soup now!!Thanks for all of your reports!!:Pinkbounc

w/ the Prince, the Mice and seems like someone else.....it was a madhouse....

The buffet was fine - my daughter loved the kid-size buffet (short little tables at HER eyelevel...) It was nice to not have to fight off other kids since the characters come to YOUR table. You seem to be able to linger as long as you like once you get to your table - but frankly there were so many screaming little kids terrified apparently by meeting the characters face to face that we weren't there nearly as long as we thought we would.....

Our waiter was a butthead...made us feel like we were white trash trespassing - guess we should have been more dressed up for the occasion.....for goodness sake - he is waiter?!? I don't understand people who act pompous like that - my husband is a partner at a law firm and a big FAT tipper -but that waiter got a $1...perhaps the biggest tip he should have gotten was that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, huh? Anyway, you might wish to get more dressed up for the character dinner...

Personally I'd rather get a good early seat on the drive for the parade at Magic Kingdom and see ALOT of characters up close - THAT was MAGICAL.....:D

I agree that this breakfast is one of the best! The food is far superior than most others and the fact that you see characters other than the Fab Four makes this one of our "must do" meals.
