Hi everyone!

We will be in Disney this October. I have reservations at Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We have ate there before and loved it each time. I was thinking of booking a reservation for 1900 Park Fare breakfast. Which is better? I have seen in different peoples TR's and the food threads that 1900 Park Fare has breakfast pizza and Lobster Eggs benedict on the buffet but do not see it on the menu. Is this on the buffet? All opinions on the 1900 Park Fare breakfast buffet would be appreciated (good or bad). Thanks in advance!!!

The setting at GF is lovely and they had a few items on the buffet that really appealed to us and that we didn't see other places. To be completely honest, none of the restaurants that are loud and frenetic suit us. I have to work hard at being a morning person so joining in a conga line and twirling a napkin over my head while my coffee cools down is not my idea of a good time. But I agree that most people find Chef Mickey's more fun.

The Lobster Eggs Benedict has been there the three days we've been at 1900 PF. There's also a bread pudding that makes it worth the trip.

I have only been to CM for dinner, so I can't comment on the food there.

But. I love, love ,love the strawberry soup at 1900 PF. And the character interaction was the most fun of all the character meals we have done.

I have been to both and i have to say...
Chef Mickeys :thumbsup2
I love the characters and the food (i have been to chef mickeys for breakfast and dinner multiple times and it has never disappointed! LOVE the CHEESE BLINTZ )

1900 PF i have been to once for breakfast and once for dinner and the breakfast was very good (i didnt get to try the strawberry soup) but the characters were good. The dinner on the other hand was not that good (The only thing i thought was special/good was the prime rib)

Either would be a good choice i just prefer the atmosphere (i mean your under the monorail in the Contemporary!) and the food at Chef Mickeys :)

Hope this Helps!

I can't compare as I've never been to CM but we like 1900 for breakfast. The food, character interaction and service was very good.

When we were there in June, it was Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger

We were there in mid July and it was Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Alice and Pooh Bear. The food was awesome (I am still wanting the strawberry soup). It was a full on buffett with a make your own omlette station (someone cooks it for you) as well as a children's station with waffles, eggs, bacon, breakfast pizza, fresh fruit. I could go on and on! I will be making 2 reservations for this local when we go back in 2012!

DH and I tried 1900 Park Fare's breakfast in March as an alternative to Chef Mickey's. We felt that 1900 PF was head and shoulders above CM's. You will find better variety, character interaction and service at 1900 PF. All of which are areas that CM has slipped up on lately.

Whichever you choose....HAVE FUN!!

I prefer 1900 Park Fare too :) We'll be going there again in April!

I am trying to pick one character breakfast for our December trip. Have been to CM and Cape May before but want to try a new one. We are 2 adults so characters are not an issue, more interested in the better buffet choices. I have crystal palace right now but thinking of trying to get ADR for 1900 pf after reading reviews.
Anyone prefer CP over PF? :cloud9: thanks for all your help!

We did both a couple years ago and both of my boys (who were 4 and 17 at the time) said at the time the didn't want to go back to 1900. The character interaction was better at CP (to meet Pooh and gang) and CM.

This time younger DS(now8) has no clue about the trip(surprise for him) but older DS (now 21)has said absolutely not going back as as hubby. It was a bust for all of us.
