1900 Park Fare b-day?

I'm just wondering, do they at all do something like a cupcake with candles if you request it or do you have to buy a cake if you want something done? We're there for dinner on my dad's birthday and I'm sure we'll all be very interested on teh desserts on the buffet and won't really want cake but I'd like some fun recognition for him, KWIM? I did tell them when I made the ADR, they asked if we were celebrating, not sure if this was just CM small talk or if a note was made.

We were at 1900 for my son's bday 3 years ago. They gave him a special place mate and a cupcake. The fairy godmother announces the bdays. Not sure if it is exactly the same for adults, but he should at least get the cupcake. We are going to be at WDW for my son's bday again this year and we are thinking about going back there.

I was just there and the waitress saw my Bday Button and brought me a cupcake and a special placemat. I'm sure you can mention something when you get there.

We ate dinner there on DD's "actual" b-day last year.

One of the step-sisters made a big deal out of it being DD's "real" b-day & announced that DD "would get TWO CUPCAKES because it's her real b-day and she doesn't lie like most people".

She brought out two of those b-day cupcakes & between the four of us we couldn't even finish them we were so full.

We didn't plan the trip around it, but it does happen to be the day we'll be at MK and having dinner at 1900 Park Fare. In fact, he was a late addition to the original group.
