1900 Park Faire-post renovation, Dinner only, food only

Okay, we've read a lot of poor reviews of this Character Dinner, post renovation. It seems, most everyone likes the interaction by the characters. Some reviewers feel it's too loud and too rushed.

The poll is for food only. That is, of the items you tried, how were they? Taste only.

It's been stated that there aren't many choices, please don't vote based on the selection. Also, the value is subjective because you're paying for character interaction at an all you care to eat location--please don't rate value.

We ate there a couple of months ago. I thought the food was good. Not outstanding, but good. There is a sampling of different foods. Everything I had was good.

I do not think the restaurant was any louder than normal for a character meal.

You know, I've seen these comments, but I've yet to read an actual review (despite time spent searching). THANK YOU for posting this poll. We're dying to know the answers so we can decide between this and CM. We originally added PF because I was reading such bad reviews of the CM food. LOL!

We had dinner there on 10/29 and decided that it was the worst dinner of our 14 day trip and we were extremely disappointed because it was our DD's 10th birthday dinner. I am by no means a picky eater and I found very little that I was able to eat there. I had some soup which was ok (there was none of the strawberry soup, that everyone raves about) I had a small piece of chicken which was quite good, but when I got more I found it to be undercooked. All I basically had was some dessert. We felt totally rushed throughout the meal and as a result we were not at all relaxed. I had previously ordered a b'day cake for DD (we did not get what I ordered - but that's another thread!) our server 'threw' the cake onto the table and slammed one of the happy birthday crowns onto DD's head. On a positive note the character interaction was good, but we would never consider going back there for dinner!

We also went to Chef Mickey's IMHO the food was much better there!

I haven't been there since the renovation. We were there last December and it was wonderful. I made ADR's for this year and then started reading LOTS of negative reviews of the food. I usually don't change my ADR's based on negative comments, but it just seemed that there were so few positive comments about the new menu. As far as it being booked solid...lots of people may be unaware of the menu change, just want to see the characters or maybe they figure, how bad could it be? I opted to make other plans, but that's just me.

While it wasn't my favorite character meal, we still enjoyed our time there overall. When we picked our character meals, the characters were just as important to us (if not more important) than the food itself. I can usually find something to eat. I'm not much into international cuisine, so there wasn't a ton there that I liked, but I didn't feel like the food was bad...just not what I like. The character interaction for us was great. All but one stepsister visited our table twice and we never felt rushed through the visit. Our server was great, too. It is noisy, but IMO they all are.

When was the renovation? What was renovated? We were there early January 2007. The food was good but seemed to 'froo-froo' for some of us. Give us the basics! We did enjoy the atmosphere and did have a server that seemed to rush. He was actually a bit annoying.

Were we before renovations?
