I just have to brag about my very sweet 9-year old twin boys who have agreed to take mom and nana to 1900 Park Faire for a princess dinner :goodvibes I was just wondering if others have taken boys there and if they also had fun. I've heard that the step sisters are funny and I'm hoping they will enjoy.

I took my DS8 in August--he was okay with it, he liked the stepsisters--he did not want Cinderella to come anywhere near him. He does not want to go on our next trip.

My son was 9 when we went in July(he has 2 sisters) and he did hide under the table when the characters first came but then he got over it. The characters sense that the boys don't want to be bothered and are sensitive to that. I think your son will be fine esp. once he sees the stepsisters interacting with the other guests. My son thought that part was funny and said he liked 1900 Park Fare.:goodvibes

I was wandering the same thing. My DS (9) and I are taking a Mom/Son trip this summer and I wanted to try it but was afraid he wouldnt like it. He liked CRT okay but that was almost 3 years ago.

Is Prince Charming also at this dinner?

We were there on 2/4. It was DD3, my two nieces (2 and 5) and my DS8. This trip was originally planned as a moms and girls princess trip but DS8 pointed out how unfair it was that his sister would be at WDW and he'd be at school. He had a point so I gave him the option of staying home with DH and his two brothers or putting up with the princesses. Of course he chose WDW!

I think he liked 1900PF. Prince Charming was there and we have a great picture of him with DS. I would say he liked 1900PF better than CRT. He was more comfortable with the step sisters than the princesses. The Step Mother was funny. I found 1900PF to be less "girly" than CRT. All the characters kept calling him "Prince". He did get annoyed with that.

We took our oh-so-macho, rough & tumble, sports-loving 13-year-old DS to 1900 Park Fare on January 12th, and we had a great time.

The stepmother and stepsisters were GREAT with Jake. They brought him out a king's crown in celebration of his birthday (which was the day prior), and that just got them all going. After learning we were from Canada (evidenced by our matching Canada t-shirts :) ) Lady Tremaine decided "the king of Canada" would be a perfect suitor for one of her single daughters. So over they came, screetching and bickering, and proceeded to check out "the most eligible batchelor in the room". Anastasia wanted to know if he lived in an ice palace (you know, being from the north and all :rotfl2: ) because she definitely needed a palace when Cinderella had a castle of her own. And on and on they went!

Lots of fun, and we definitely didn't feel out of place not having a little girl in our party. Even DH got in on the fun with the stepsisters....it really was a great time! And the buffet offering were nothing to sneeze at, either. An excellent meal that we all thoroughly enjoyed.

I've prepped my soon to be 9 year old about our 3 princess meals. He's a good big brother and says he'll do it for his sister. He didn't have a choice anyway. LOL He just doesn't know Mom is just as excited! :rotfl:

My DD wanted to eat in the castle with cinderella I know that it is hard to get into so we went to 1900 park fare in dec. I try to do a character meal every time we go and we a loved it they come around so many times my son couldn't wait to get out he loved the attention he was geeting from the step sisters.
