about 10 years ago dh and I went here for breakfast and we remember it being a wonderful breakfast buffet, but remember the organ was really really loud. We are considering trying this for dinner this october, along with our kids (4, 2, and 2) but am wondering if the organ is still really loud. also am wondering how the dinner is, and how the character interaction is.

thanks!

we love it there for breakfast, character interaction is outstanding, and nothing stands out to me about the noise level. I have heard dinner is awesome too!

Dinner was wonderful, no organ in sight when we were there. The buffet was fun, hot and delicious, DD loved meeting Cindy and the mice. We are going back again on this trip.

We were there last December - The food was very good. It is DH's number one request to return to next year. The buffet is a cut above what you usually find - the strawberry soup is wonderful. My kids raved about the food - loved the make your own ice-cream sundae bar.

When we were there the character interaction was excellent - they all came by at least twice - Cindy was very gracious to my dd's and gave DS a kiss on the cheek. Prince Charming knelt down by the girls and kissed their hands!

As far as the noise level goes - we were in the front room and did not really hear the organ at all.

Cheers-

Ditto what Luthien said! Definately a cut above any other character buffet!

This is good to know. We have ADR for the dinner here and have never been. Glad to hear it is so good. Thanks. :teeth:

We went our last trip for dinner and sat right underneath the organ - but it wasn't on. The food was excellent and so was the character interaction. A must for us every time.

thanks all! I still don't know what we'll do, but I'll add it to the list of possibilities. :)

9 of us (5kids) ate there last March...Great time...I heard no organ. I thought the noise level was fine(and they were full)...only time it seemed to get loud IMO was the Birthday Songs....we loved it and are going back in DEC!!!

Great info. Going to 1900 Park Faire for dinner later this month. Glad so many people like it.

We ate there in July. The buffet was delicious. I especially liked the prime rib carving table. My wife liked the turkey. Others liked the pasta bar. There was a large variety and the wait satff was terrific. I think the favorite part for the kids was the make your own sundae.

BTW We didn't have an ADR and were able to walk at 5PM and get a table for 8. I was shocked.

I am seriously considering doing this. Just a few questions.

Do the sons enjoy this experience?

I can schedule this for my mom, daughter and myself while the big boys do Universal. Or, I can schedule it for the whole family (Me, Mom, DH, DS9, DS8, DD2) on a different night.

And will I be disappointed if I don't dress up daughter? Will I regret not doing it?

TIA for your responses.

We were there last December and thought the buffet was excellent. When I asked my DS16 where he would like to eat on a short trip we are making this December, he, without hesitation, said 1900PF. It is obviously not for the Characters, though they were fun and we have some interesting pictures to show for it.

My sons thought it was fine. Last time they were 12 and 16.

My only gripe is how close the tables are together. Last time we were seated by the wall where those long padded benches were. 2 people had to sit on the padded benches and 2 sat in chairs on the opposite side of the table. Another family was seated next to us. There was barely enough room to get out of my seat without hitting the other table. I swear there was like 6 inches between the tables. DS and I had to ask DH (who sat in a chair) to get our refills of things. The other family was the same way.

The food was good and the character interaction was good. My sons liked it.

Haven't been yet for dinner but breakfast was amazing. I am going again this trip. I think breakfast is a harder area to please, so if they can pull it off I have no doubt dinner will be great also. ;)

We had an excellent time there last year for dinner. My DS7 enjoyed himself just as much as the girls in our group. The character interaction was excellent. At one table, I saw Cinderella sit down on the floor with her dress all spread out for a baby to pose with her for a picture. It was so cute!

omg, that picture with the baby must have been so cute!

I went ahead and made an adr here. not 100% sure we'll keep it, we'll see, but hopefully we will and will have a wonderful experience.

it just seems like we are doing an awful lot of buffets. we're normally not big buffet people, but the thought of the wait being minimized (once seated, we can pretty much grab a plate and go) instead of waiting to give an order and waiting for the food sounds like it might work best with our kids, at least at this age. we shall see!

Thanks for the replies to my questions. I did go ahead and book dinner there. I'm am very excited.

As far as the dressin up daughter goes, I'm getting her a princess dress for halloween, might as well get another use out of it and bring it along in November. :)

I would just love to have a picture of her sittin with a princess on the floor with their dresses all spread out. I imagine that would just be beautiful. I can see what my scrapbook page looks like already. :rolleyes1
