We used to go every year but one year we had a horrible meal and it took us hours to get a bus to DTD to transfer back to our hotel. We haven't tried it since. This was back around 1999 if I'm not mistaken.

We were talking about where we are booked for dinner and we were remember how good 1900 Park Fair was years ago. We used to love it and think it was the best Disney Buffet. We've been doing Chef Mickey's since then (kids won't let us cancel Chef Mickey's) but we thought we might add 1900 Park Fair on the last day.

I would love to know what everyone thinks.

We did dinner there summer of 05 and my husband and I thought the buffet was great. He thoght one of the best he has ever had. He still talks about it now, but I want to try other places before we go back.

sorry you had bad meal there, I think it must be better now. :thumbsup2

me and my mom ate there last September and hated it!! The food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting there for a LONG time. We will not be going back.

We LOVE 1900 Park Fare....this is a "don't miss" for us every trip. It is one of our fav's. Last time we had dinner there was Mother's Day 2005 so I'm hoping it is still fabulous because they're making my Christmas dinner this year! :goodvibes

It's a good way to Cinderella and her gang (for supper anyway) if you can't get in at CRT.

DD (2.5) and I went to the dinner buffet in Feb 2006. She's picky and only had the PB&J off the kids buffet. I enjoyed the adult buffet and the desserts were REALLY good!

I'm not sure what time of day you're planning on eating there, but I'd recommed hopping on a bus to MK and riding the monorail over to GF and then when you leave do the reverse: ride the monorail over to MK and grab your resort bus. MUCH faster than waiting for a DTD bus (and probably more fun for the kiddos...assuming that they like the monorail).

It would be easier to get a monorail to the MK stop and go to your resort bus stop and ride the bus from there, as opposed to transferring at Dtd.

My 12 year old niece and I ate there last week. I was disappointed in the food selections, just wasn't stuff either of us liked. I wished we would have done Chef Mickey's.

We love 1900 Park Fare dinner. I was shocked that Dh requested to go back here, he loved the food. (Poor Dh hates character dining!!!!!!) We had a great meal, lots of good buffet food and the characters were great!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your replies! We've definately decided to do it. I got an ADR for 5:00pm on our last full day at WDW. This way we can get back to the resort early to pack and sleep before we leave the next morning.

We should be at MK that afternoon doing repeats of our favorites. We drive to the parks now. We've learned it's faster and more enjoyable than taking buses. So we can just head over to GF from MK on the Monorail and then head over to the T&TC after dinner.

I'm very excited about dinner here. I almost hate that I have to wait 2 weeks from the start of our vacation to dine here. But......hopefully it will be a great meal and a great way to end our vacation. We are starting it off with Dinner at Chef Mickey's on the first full day we get there.

We loved it. It wasn't our #1 - Boma buffet was - but it was probably our #2. The kids really enjoyed it.

I think you'll be glad you decided to try 1900 PF again. We were there three weeks ago and loved it. Not only had our daughter done the BBB, she was dressed as Snow White, and on this particular evening, Snow White was the greeter vice the Fairy Godmother. We have a couple of great pics with two Snow Whites. :thumbsup2

The food the night we were there was excellent. Granted, it may be food not to some folks' liking, but you'd have to be terribly choosy not to find something good in my opinion. Between the typical cold green salads, the pasta salads, and the soups (the chilled strawberry soup is delicious!) alone, I could have filled up. The entrees and side dishes were numerous. The carving station had prime rib and turkey (the prime rib actually offered a variety of cuts from medium rare to medium well), and there was a hot pasta bar featuring some marinara-based sauce (didn't try) and a freshly prepared-as-you-watched shrimp and asparagus alfredo that was superb. They had good spring rolls, a very good curried chicken with couscous, and a topnotch portobello mushroom ravioli among numerous other offerings. The dessert bar featured key lime and cheesecake tarts, bread pudding, and even bananas foster (the server would flame them for you on the pudding if you asked!). There is also a kid's bar with typical fare: pizza, mac n cheese, spaghetti, and even PB & J sandwiches. We found the experience, food, and service to be tremendous and plan to eat there next year.
