I made ADRs today and was unable to get a table at Cindy's for ANY meal, so I went with Plan B and booked dinner at 1900 Park Fair.

Have you been there? Tell me about your experience!

We gone there the last few years for dinner. It's one meal the whole family thinks is fun even though it's a character meal. Cinderella, Prince Charming, the step mother (Lady Tremaine) and the step sisters come around to your table. They steps make really funny comments and are quite comical. They really play on the fact that they are not well liked. My husband thought they were really funny. We all thought the buffet was pretty good. Everyone found at least one thing that they really liked. We found that it's a good place to see Cinderella and interact with her. Maybe not as pretty as the castle, but she had prince charming dance during dinner. It was a lot of fun for us and the kids.

I have been to both and enjoyed Park Faire the most. Food is better and the step sisters are funny. Evil step mother stays in character throughout the meal and dd got to dance with Prince Charming.

We love 1900 Park Fare! Lady Tremaine and her daughters are so much fun, and my little girls love getting to meet both Cinderella and Prince Charming. We all enjoy the food there (love the strawberry soup!). We've done Cindy's for breakfast, and while it was neat, for the money, I think 1900 Park Fare is a better deal.

Went there 2 years ago. Have 2 sons, 8 & 10 and they had a blast...great interaction with the Stepsisters. Food was good, heading there again this year.

1900 is great. Good food, entertaining characters.

Are you on ddp and looking for more princess interaction? Consider Akershaus as a CRT replacement. Not sure on oop cost comparison, but in terms of ddp credits, only 1 at Aker v 2 at CRT and the food and experience isn't much better at CRT.

I love this restaurant for dinner. My grown DS even enjoys it, so it passed the test. The food is good, and the character interaction (especially Druscilla) is so much fun. Plus, if you are ordering a cake for any occassion, I think the GF bakery is the best. We always do 1900 Park or the GF Cafe so we can get one of the GF bakery cakes. YUMMY!!!

Akershus in Epcot/Norway is better for the total-princesss-immersion, but 1900PF is more fun because you've just got the Cinderella story. You get Cindy, her prince, and all 3 Steps (mom & sisters). A star-struck little girl will be happy to interact with Cindy and the Prince, and the rest of the family can have a lot of fun with the Steps.

1900 PF holds a special place in my heart because the last time we ate there WE MADE CINDY BLUSH! She managed to mistake my 18 yr old DD for a BOY. DD was furious, Cindy was mortified, and I was laughing so hard I almost fell off my chair. DD's hair is fairly short and t-shirts can be pretty unisex, but still........and not 5 minutes earlier, Prince Charming had stopped by the table. HE had no trouble identifying DD as a girl, and chatted her up quite nicely.

I went to CRT, Akershus and 1900 PF and we loved Akershus but really liked 1900 pf. Cinderella is awesome there. She took the time to chat with my girls. The step sisters are hilarious! |You won't regret it.

:thumbsup2

I'm so happy and relieved to hear all of this great feedback! Now I can put it out of my mind. I'm not even going to bother trying for a CRT cancellation.

Thanks everyone!!

1900 PF was a pleasant surprise on our last trip. The food was quite good and it was my favorite character interaction of the trip! Everyone had a great time!

We did 1900 PF in Sept of 2009 and Akershus in December. Both were great. Park Fare was my fav meal and I would not hesitate to go back. The step sisters and step mom were a hoot. The picture they took of our family before going into the meal in front of the mural was the best picture. I can't say enough good things about it. I don't think you'll be disappointed

DH and I have eaten at 1900 parke fare for the last 6 years, but last year I think was our last. Of course we love the characters but the food and service this last time was just not good. Maybe we were just there on an off day, but it was bad enough that we won't be going back. We eat at Akershus so we can eat with the Princesses :goodvibes

We have done both. Liked CRT when we had a window seat overlooking Fanatasyland, but not so great the second time when we were stuck in a corner. Absolutely loved 1900 Park Fare - even my husband enjoyed the stepsisters. Loved seeing Cinderella and Prince Charming dance. We liked the food choices at 1900 Park Fare better also.

Went this past December, we were on the standard DDP, so we decided to do Akershus and 1900 Park Fare instead of burning 2 TS credits on the castle.
1900 Park Fare was really good the food was decent, make sure you try the chocolate mousse, and the character interaction was great. My 4yo DD even got to dance with Prince Charming.
I will throw a vote in there for Akershus also. I REALLY enjoyed my grilled pork chop, the cold bar was good and the character interaction was very good. Plus you get a picture with a princess included with the meal. My daughter is a little small and Aerial called her a guppy(I told Aerial I lost my midget since they were doing the Princess Parade and Aerial beat her to our table.), I though that was cute.

We love 1900 PF. I usually clean them out of the tomatoes and mozzarella when we go. We've always found the food to be good and a really good variety, too. Service never seems to be great, but all they do is drinks and take away dirty plates, so it's never bothered us.

Believe me, you weren't there on a bad day, I'm no foody, but the buffet was the most bland tasteless and unappetizing I've ever had the misfortune of eating on property. If you aren't on the dining plan, or better yet free dining plan, the cost for the quality of food is a joke. I'll happily wait to see the stepsisters at the MK any day. As a previous poster suggested akershaus might be a better choice.

We enjoyed 1900 Park Fare for dinner... food was pretty good, not the best, but delicious enough for us! It was a bit full in there (no empty tables) compared to the breakfast (which we also like!). I have other family with girls and they liked Akershus too.
