I read something this week on a thread about the Fairy Godmother "opening" the restaurant for dinner at 4:30pm. Is this something they do every day at this time? We have ADRs for my niece at this time the end of this week, and I was just wondering if it's something cute that she would enjoy seeing. What does she do?

i have not seen this personally. however, we tried to get a PS for later in the night on 5/5, but were told by the CM that the only time available was 4:30. but she said that we should enjoy the 4:30 seating as the fairy god mother "opens" the dinner...not sure what the entails though. i am sure that DD will love it though.

The one time we have eaten there, without planning we were there for the opening. It is very cool and worth going to. :teeth: The staff, from cooks to servers, even lined up and welcomed the guests as they came in. And planned perfectly was a CM at the of the line escorting guests to their seats.
Very well done and unexpected. :wizard:

They did pull a family with three young girls from the early arrivers, who opened the restaurant with the Godmother using magic wands. A Kodak moment! princess:

Do you need to be there AT 4:30 or before for this? Is it a few minutes before, or right at 4:30? Do you know?

i believe that you need to have a PS @ 4:30, which is when the restaurant opens for dinner. HTH
