1900 Opening?

I read something this week on a thread about the Fairy Godmother "opening" the restaurant for dinner at 4:30pm. Is this something they do every day at this time? We have ADRs for my niece at this time the end of this week, and I was just wondering if it's something cute that she would enjoy seeing. What does she do?

i have not seen this personally. however, we tried to get a PS for later in the night on 5/5, but were told by the CM that the only time available was 4:30. but she said that we should enjoy the 4:30 seating as the fairy god mother "opens" the dinner...not sure what the entails though. i am sure that DD will love it though.

The one time we have eaten there, without planning we were there for the opening. It is very cool and worth going to. The staff, from cooks to servers, even lined up and welcomed the guests as they came in. And planned perfectly was a CM at the of the line escorting guests to their seats.
Very well done and unexpected.

They did pull a family with three young girls from the early arrivers, who opened the restaurant with the Godmother using magic wands. A Kodak moment!

Do you need to be there AT 4:30 or before for this? Is it a few minutes before, or right at 4:30? Do you know?

i believe that you need to have a PS @ 4:30, which is when the restaurant opens for dinner. HTH
