I called WDW Dine last night to confirm what our 180 day mark was from the day we check-in. I told the CM I wanted to make ADR's for CRT. She told me I had eight more days before I could make the ressie I wanted. Then she asked me if I was staying on property and I told her I was. Next, she told me I could make the ADR for CRT because I was within the 190 day window for resort guests. When she told me what times were available for that day there were only three ressies available. I now have an ADR for CRT breakfast on my DD B-day that I probably would not of had if I would have waited till the 180 day point.princess: :cool1:

Actually you probably would of gotten it on the 180 day mark also. Cinderellas only releases a few tables after the 180 day mark. Most tables are released on the 180 day mark. So even if you are staying at a Disney resort and get the extra 10 days, usually their will be few, if any tables listed. Congrats on getting a table early though!!!!

::yes:: On the actual 180 day mark for when you want to eat at CRT, there will be many more times to choose from and not just dinner.

I just wanted to tell people that if they are staying on property you have 190 days from your day of check-in to make ressies.
According to the CM.

Well, actually, it depends on which CM you get. You were lucky to get one of the CMs that doesn't understand that it is 180 from check in and then you can book up to 10 days worth of ADRs.

So not everyone will get the same results as you did.

I think that is what the whole question is though. CM's are saying different things. I wish a clear answer would come from somewhere.

It's not really 190 days out..It is 180 days from the date you check in, and instead of calling back every day for the rest of your trip, Disney allows resort guests to book out an extra 10 days from your check in to avoid having to call back everyday. For example if Monday was 180 days from your check in day, then you could call and book for Monday and then the rest of your trip, up to 10 days. So even though tuesday is 181 days, being a Disney resort guest you can make the reservations. Even CM's get confused by that and sometimes give misinformation to guests.

Depends on the CM! After reading this thread I just called to make my ADRs for Sept 29th-Oct 7th (180 days out would be Monday April 2nd). The first CM said I couldn't book anything until exactly 180 days before my check-in date and didn't know how others were doing it. I called right back and got a CM who said no problem and asked what I wanted for the 29th, she then backed up and said the computer wouldn't let her book for any later check-ins than Sept 26th and I couldn't book until Monday April 2nd. When I told her I was reading on several chat lines where people were booking at 190 days out from check in dates, she said to let her see what she could do. She came back a few minutes later and asked where I wanted to eat for Sept 29th.

I was able to get Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's, Mama Melrose, Olivia's Cafe, 'Ohana, Whispering Canyon, and Spoodles. She was unable to get the computer to override the 180 day restriction for Wolfgang Pucks, so I'll have to call back April 2nd for that one.

Honestly, CRT is NOT selling out that quickly. Most guests are not booking meals at 180 days out. If you know your times, that is great - book as early as you can. But 180 days (or 190) isn't a magical number like 90 used to be.

As far as CM's - some know a lot, some don't. You may get a new agent, or one who doesn't understand an aspect of how something works. Compliment the great agents who do know a lot (ask to be sent to the compliment voice mail or their supervisor).

Yes, that's the policy, but my 180 days from my day of check in is not until April 5th. I booked at 188 days out from my check-in day and 189 from the actual day of the ressie.:confused3

I just checked the PS calculator to answer a question on another thread; I noticed Wolfgang Puck Cafe is a sixty-day in advance reservation. Now, I don't know if this refers to Upstairs, or downstairs, or the whole place.

What time slots are the most popular for CRT? It seems I've seen a lot of people not getting ADR's for this character meal. Is it because everyone wants to go at 9:00am? I just booked one in August for 8:05 no problem.

Sorry to hijack.

Well, I just called. The CM I had knew her stuff cuz I wasn't able to book yet (I'm at 189 days). She informed me of the correct day to call, which I already knew. I explained others w/the 190 and she said it was confusing and alot of people didn't understand it.

I was able to book today at 183 days out. The first CM through DVC Memeber Services said no, Call Monday 4/2. I called Disney Dinning and she asked "are you staying on site?" I said yes, she said I HAD to have my confiration number to do it though. I did, so I am all set!

I got CP, LeCellier, LTT, 50's, Norway (PSB), Hollywood/Vine (Fantasmic). I got all between 5-530PM except LeCellier, I had to take 550PM.

I was able to get LTT on 10/2 (suspected MNSSHP night for 525PM, I can usually only get at 430 on party nights and I also got a 525PM Fantasmic package...I can usually only get 450-500PM.

I agree though, they need to be consistent. The CM who took my ADR's said I could have booked through 10/6. Our trip dates are 9/29-10/5. We are a party of 5 and alot of times getting a time between 5-6PM are hard to come by.

I just asked for availability for a family of 4, July 5th - 10th. There were openings every morning. I didn't ask what times they were.

Tried today for 190 days out and was unsuccessful. The CM basically just read me the 180 day policy straight from a screen/manual and told me to call back on the 17th. She was nice about it though.

I'd be interested to know if anyone was successful in booking anything October 14th-20th prior to day 180.

I was able to book my ADR's last Wednesday for my arrival on 9/26. This would have put it at the 181 or 182 mark. I wasn't even reading these threads or even knew about people booking 190 out. All I wanted to do was find out which day I should call. According to the Disney online vacation planner, on Wednesday, I was 181 days from my next vacation. This would have made the 180 mark on Thursday. However, according to the PS calculator, my 180 mark should have been on Friday. So I called Disney to figure out what day I should call. The agent then told me I could make all of my ADR's now! I was like, "OK, let's get started!"

On another note, this week I called back to move a couple around and the agent said since you already called and made your reservations (shh I didn't tell her someone else let me do it early), I could only make changes/add anything to those dates where you are at or with the 180 window even though you are staying on site. She said the 180+10 thing is a one time courtesy they allow resort guests. I didn't say anything because the ones I wanted to move were within 180 days. But I was totally confused she statement. I never heard of that. In fact, other agents had already moved some other ones around since I had first called and they were outside the 180window.

Hmmm...maybe she saw that I had already alot of cancellations in my record and that was her way of telling me to stop calling. I couldn't help it because once the October park hours came out and there was no MNSSHP on 10/1 EVERYTHING had to be moved. Oh well, everything is all set now and I haven't changed or moved anything else for 4 days straight.
