 19 more days till our first ever trip to Disneyland :yay:and i'm just as overwhelmed as when I started reading everyones wonderful posts! (much more informed, but still overwhelmed!)
We will be there for 5 days and i'm just wondering if i really need to be stressing out about fastpasses, schedules, etc. or will that be enough time that we can take it as it comes? It will be myself, DW, DD (7) and DS (4). Again, thanks for everyones wonderful tips and reviews!

Have a wonderful time at Dl! :) Don't forget to ask for your first time visitor buttons.

I always highly recommend fast passes. Because it is better to be prepared with them, then end up with the passes no longer being available for the day, and having to wait in long lines, without them. You can use the fast pass beyond the time that is printed on the fast passes. Just needs to be on the same day. I like to collect them, as I go along through the day. That way,I will have several in hand, and if I do not need to use one at the time, then I just save it for later that day.
It is a good idea to have in mind what it is that you are most interested in doing, and seeing, so you can pace yourself. Otherwise, you may miss out on one or more parts of your must do, see or eat lists. :)

I have 19 days too!!! I'm real excited as well. I already started to pack and get the kids activity pack ready. I was freaked out over fastpasses and schedules 2 years ago when the fam and I went, but NOT this year!!! I made a PS for 2 of the 3 days we will be there and basically I am scheduling everything around those and the shows that are a must see for us. I"m not going to fret if I miss anything because I know that we will be able to go again in the future.

My major concern is how much can I really eat of the things that I have never tried and aim to try this time around.:lmao:

Take lots of pictures especially of your kids faces when they see something magical!!!! Cranky kids are no fun so take a break at the hotel. Have a great time!!

We leave in 5 days and will be there for 7 days :cool1:
I've scheduled out the 1st three days, then the rest of the days I just listed shows I don't want to miss and possible dining plans. I only made one PS for the new BBQ Roundup but plan to be flexible for all other meals (have to with 5 and 3yr olds...) We are also staying concierge for the 1st time so I hope to graze up in the lounge quite a bit too...

Bought my tickets online today (we are upgrading to APs on our last day so the price didn't really matter, but I wanted to have them in hand when I stepped off the plane :goodvibes), and plan to start packing tonight!!
Watched a few uTube ride videos with my kids last night to get them excited and read my DD the Br'er Rabbit story to try to get her excited to ride Splash Mountain with my DH (I can't ride the big ones this go around as I'm recoving from back surgery)

I'm now trying to figure out at what point I'll be able to let out a big sigh and say 'I'm on vacation!' When I walk into the GC lobby, when we get on our 1st ride?... Probably not until I lay my head down for the 1st night sleep in our GC room ;)

Thanks guys - I guess I'll go back and start a refresher course on fastpasses and how to line-swap with the kiddos! These trip reports are awesome...Builds the excitement, plus you learn as you go! (and see some awesome pictures)
