Day One
So I go to school, with a speech to do, and try my best to get through it. Let me tell you, that was difficult, I kept trying to concentrate on my notes, but my head was buzzing with ten million other things. I wouldn't be leaving for hours, and I was already on my vacation, lol. Luckily, I thought at least, my second class was cancelled! So I could go home at 10:45 instead of 1:45 and start getting ready! We could be on the road right after Allison gets out of School, right? WRONG! Murphy took stop one here, and decided that he would make it that my dad wouldn't pick me up til 12 noon. I was waiting outside for an hour. That's strike one....
When my dad picks me up, he tells me they weren't ready, at all. Why? Because they decided it was time to get parts fixed on the van, they wanted to take that instead of my mom's car. I looked over to my dad, in awe. We talked about this millions of times, and we had so much to do! "You at least brought Buddy to the kennel, right?" I asked. "Uh....no..."
The dog was suppose to be dropped off at 8 AM. The kennel he was going to was very pecuilar about this, and if they were late, it took LONGER TO DROP THE ANIMAL OFF! Strike two.....
I then drive home, convince my dad to take my mom's car, since it was more comfortable, call my mom to see if she could start loading it up...she can't....and why is that? Oh because she decided to go shopping and had to repack her's, my dad's, and my sister's suitcases with new clothes! I got home, only one was packed....I was trying my best to stay calm, but at this point, I could see us not arriving on time...at all....
I went to the kitchen, and started packing food for the road, I had to get SOMETHING done! As I had that packed, (which took me a while since I was making sandwiches, waiting for coffee, chilling juices, etc.) The second bag wasn't even packed yet...I was getting annoyed, lol.
I asked my dad if he could please please please take the dog to the kennel, and then come back. We'll have to pick my sister up with the loaded car. He left with my pooch and kitty, I went in the back and hurried my mom along, loaded the car, and we were almost ready to go, we could have made it....Not if Murphy had anything to do with it...
My dad got wrapped up at the kennel til 4. Then picked my sister up at school...two hours late...without us...so he got home. My sister decided she wanted to bring more stuff into the already packed car.
We got on the road by six. Four hours behind schedule. Strike three...your outta there, lol.
We finally arrived at eleven clock at night. I was doing pretty well with keeping my cool, and as soon as we drove through those gates, The magic came over me, and I was instantly happy. I was home again!
We pulled into All Star Music, and I instantly took out my phone and took a picture of my sister.
(I'LL INSERT PICTURE LATER)
We got to the front desk, and *dun dun dun*
No more rooms in the Broadway Building
And the guy at the front desk felt really bad. He saw it was my birthday, and how much I wanted to stay there, so instead of Western, (which is where we were going to go,) He upgraded us to Jazz!!!!
I was a bit more happy now, lol. But my folks wouldn't let us go to the room with them. They told us to hang out in the store, while they brought the luggage in. So we did, and I started to become fascinated with the pins, almost bought some, and decided I didn't need to get addicted to those. I then got a call on my cell phone, "Okay, come on to the room"
So we went into our room, saw they had the rooms switched around a bit, (Matt got the two beds, my folks, sister and I only got one, lol.) But that's okay, we left the door in the middle open, made it one big room, and it didn't matter who had what. On the bed though, was a Pal Mickey for me, and an Autograph book, pen, a stuffed animal and stickers for Allison. There also was the invitation to 'Ohanas the next day! (side note, I knew about this, but my sister didn't.)
My sister went crazy! She was so happy!
OH, and my folks also put credit on my room key, so I could buy more stuff! I was happy with that.
Bye Bye Murphy!
So we would wait out our first night, and sleep well, since tomorrow was 'Ohanas.
I know it's a little messy, I promise the next day will be better....
