186 points---rented--thanks for responses

We had to canc a reservation and some of the points were borrowed, so I have 186 points available that must be used before May 31, 2005. I'd like to get $9/point, but if you can use all of them I will do $8/ point. Please email me if you are interested. thanks.

I guess with these being borrowed the only way to "sell" them is to try to make a reservation someone wants--I didn't realize that having never been in this situation before. Do people do that or should I try to find a way to use them?

With a May use year, you can still bank 50% of your current points, that way you only have to worry about trying to use / rent the borrowed points, and any current year points over 50%.

Did MS tell you that you couldnt transfer the borrowed points?

I did bank the other points but these were borrowed so they said they had to be used. The first person said I could transfer them, but when I called back I was told no. I hate to just let them go to waste so hopefully someone here will want them.

I've posted this on other boards, but I'll mention it here too. I'm looking for a trade.... my points can't be used until after May 31 as they are the new SSR points, but we'd like to go in Jan.

Let me know if you are interested at all in a trade. You could salvage your points that way.
