I added an extra day to my trip in the beggining (POFQ) on august 30 (vacation is not aug 30 - sep 10) and they told me it would cost an extra 180 during value season? HUH? It is free dining and they said it didn't include park cost. Where do they get 180 from? The site says it is much lower than that. I paid it, but I would like to know why I had to pay so much.

Do you have a water view? The regular rooms are $145. Water view is an extra $15, plus tax, would come to $180.

I would call them back and ask. It sounds high to me too. We're booked at POR Sept 8-16, and ours was $145/night for a standard room, plus tax. Even if you have a waterview room, $180 sounds too high--I can't imagine that tax would be $20/night. Maybe it is though?:confused3

:lmao: We are at POR Aug 6th-11th.Water view with a AAA rate of 144.00 per night, this includes all tax and other tack on fees!I strongly recommend AAA,you can get some good deals. The discount on this room alone pays for my membership! Also gets you discounts at restaurants!:thumbsup2

$180 isn't too high. The waterview is $25 more which makes it $160. Tax is 12.5% which makes the total come out to exactly $180.

Personally, I don't think the waterview is worth it. Call back and see if they have a standard view.

Wasn't there a $104 per night deal in August and September for Mods?

Maybe there is no discounted availability left for the resort and date you booked the extra night. Did you check online under the available discounts? If you find there are discounted rooms available, I'd call them back.

For free dining, I don't think you can get a discount.

Do you have more than 2 adults?

DebbieB is correct. Disney specificaly doesn't let you "stack" discounts. If you want Free Dining then you can't also get a room discount. If you want the discount, you can't get the Free Dining. One per customer.:goodvibes
