180+ Not working, CM gives strange response

So, this morning was my 180. SOmething strange occured overnight with MDE and I was not able to book online. I have a feeling the CM last night, while applying the Disney Visa Winter code, messed something up. Not only couldnt I reserve beyong the exact 180 day, but for my TIX, My husband had 2 sets of ticket, my daughter had 2 sets of tickets and I had none ??? Obviously, we originally had 1 set each.

So...I was forced to wait until 7 to call and get my dining in order. The wait was 40 minutes until I spoke with a CM.

I started with day one, two etc...

I got to my 5th day and my breakfast wasnt available (Garden Grill). Did some quick swapping and get almost everything I wanted except...ready for this...... lunch at The Plaza on my 6th day. Nothing available except 11:00am (too early for us since we have an 8:30 breakfast). Really?? Nothing?? When did the Plaza get so popular ??
Oh well. She mentioned a few other restaurants and then she said "I have a BOG available" ??

Wait...BOG, not not the plaza?? OK, Ill book that. I mentioned how strange it was not to have the Plaza available....then....she said...

Wait until December/early January. A lot more seating opens up around 3 months prior ?????????

Is Disney playing games??

Currently, for most of the day The Plaza is a walk up. It only takes reservations from 11:00 AM - noon.

So time OP was given was correct. They would not be able to reserve much later.

Guess I've been out of the loop. The Plaza as a walk up makes more sense than Skipper's ever did. There's a lot less sticker shock and the food is basic. I think it's a good idea. It's clear TPTB desperately want a walk up option in the MK.

Yeah, makes sense. Although I always liked it for a guaranteed later TS dinner for a decent burger and be waited on ... where I didn't feel completely ripped off. I might stop by but likely won't wait around for a table unless it's a short wait. I'm more likely to do what I did last trip .... leave the park and head to Chickfila
