We are going to WDW Oct 23rd to the 30th. Last time we went 3 years ago I had problems getting some ressies because I didn't know about the 180 + 10thing. If I want to make a ressie for 10/25, the PS calculator says I can make ressies on 4/28. Does that mean I can go on line on 4/18 to make my ressie? We are gong away the end of April and would really like all my ressies done before then so I don't have to call whle on our other vacation.

Thanks!

The 180+10 means that you can start making reservation 180 days before your check-in date, so 4/26, and also for any reservations for 10 days after that.

Your theory is 180-10 rather than 180+10. You don't subtract days out to call. If the calculate says 4/28, that's the first day you're able to call. Or the person that lives in Orlando. Or the person who is staying offsite. Everyone can call that 180 days out.

The "plus 10" part is a perk of staying at a Disney resort. You can reserve meals up to 10 days of your vacation. People who don't stay at Disney resorts can try to book their hard to get ADR at the exact 180 days, but in all reality, they could wait a month and get their entire trip ADRs planned if they aren't trying to get the most popular ADRs.

It's 180 days in advance of your checkin date (so 4/26?) and on that date you can make reservations for the first ten days of your vacation.

If there are ADRs you are worried about getting, try to schedule them as late as possible during your trip, that way you do still have an advantage over people who might be there that same day but won't be calling until a day or two or three after you, kwim?

This is the right date - I checked too. 4/26 is 180 days from the start of the OP's trip.

Can you do the +10 online instead of calling? I thought I did that last year, but i can't find the spot to put my reservation number into the online dining reservations website?

When you go to search for the reservations, if you either select the link that says something along the lines of "Planning to pay with a dining plan" or select a date > 180 days from today, it will ask you to confirm the reservation via your confirmation number.

I see it now! Thanks!
