We are 180 days from our 10 night split stay (Jambo/BLT/Kidani) and I tried using the new MDE website to do ADRs, but to no avail.:sad2: Our three resort reservations show up under "my reservations". When I navigated to the dining reservation page, the days of our trip were highlighted on the calendar.:cheer2: Unfortunately, it would not let me make a reservation beyond day 180. I even tried going to the "old" website using our iPad-1, but it would not work.

I ended up calling Disney Dining, and they said they were "having some troubles with the system". The very pleasant CM was able to make all of our ADR's for us, but it is a little disappointing that I could not do it online.

I was at least glad that WDW-DINE could actually do the ADRs for me; for our recent trips, they were not able to help me because we had a DVC reservation and they could not pull it up in their system. I ended up calling MS to make the reservations and they had to do some finagling to make it work. That was not an issue this time. I guess that is some sort of progress!:thumbsup2 I was actually concerned that they were not going to be able to book for our entire trip, since the first reservation is only for 2 nights at Jambo.

Now when I go to the MDE website, the ADR's that I made are not listed under "my reservations", but the show up under the individual day-to-day "my plans".:headache:

I think they still have a little work to do.:rolleyes1

I had the exact same issue yesterday - the system could find my reservation and looked like it would accept the dates but any attempt to find a reservation failed. I too called and got every reservation I was hoping for.

The same happened for me, and the CM actually made me call back the next day, because they weren't able to get anything at the 180 days - it had to be 179. :confused3 I have since read that you need to go forward a day, then book it then go back and change it to the day you want. strange.

That isn't all that's messed up with the dining website. Olivia's wouldn't let me book a seating for one diner, even though there were reservations available for two diners. I guess they figure solo diners don't need to eat.

So, I may wind up saving a little money by renting a car and eating a few meals offsite, or doing some grocery shopping. Which for one person, I had planned on having table service for most meals (not a fast-food type person.) Someone at Disney IT really needs to look at these glitches. A single diner with adult beverages can easily outspend two light diners, so it can cost Disney $$.

After I finished with making the reservations, I tried manually loading one, and DME accepted it, but it still did not show up under my reservations.

That's interesting. When I logged into our DME, the first page had "179 Days" in a banner, and I swear today was 180. Anyway, it still would not let me make the reservations.

That's a bummer. My DW is doing a solo business trip in March and was planning on making some ADR's. I guess we'll see what happens when she tries to schedule her ADR's. Maybe you can call WDW-DINE, if it is worth it. Alternatively, you could schedule for 2 and then say that your friend wasn't felling well.:rolleyes1

Chuck, when I'm dining alone I just go ahead and book for "2". It's never been a problem when I show up and there's no 2nd person! ;)

Being able to book for one, has been an issue for some time now. Even booking for two can be tricky.

But there is a difference. With the new system, it looks to your traveling party, and wants you to select or enter the name of the 2nd person if you try to book a table for two. Evidently, Disney wants to track not only the number of people in a room, but what each of those individuals are doing throughout the day.

Interesting and you are right, I played around it with it and it has openings for two but not one even though one is an option on the pull down menu.

So, the solution is put in a dummy second name, then remove it from your party before the penalty period. Or call to book your dining.

MS told me a week ago that I would need to be on the DDP to book ADRs past day 180, that otherwise I could only do one day at a time online. Now a diff MS person told me to call them on day 180 and they would be more than happy to help.

I am about 7-8 days out from my 180...guess I will try online 1st and then call if necessary:P

What the first CM told you is not true, as long as you are staying on site you can book 180+10.

You can just skip this step. I refuse to add the names (it's none of Disney's business!). Just hit "next." Works fine.

I attempted to make several ADR's for my July 4th trip. It would not let me book at 180 days +. I somehow ended up on the "old" site which allowed me to make the reservations for two restuarants, but hen kicked me out. I ended up calling MS to book the rest. She stated that there were still bugs to be worked out.:confused3

I think one of the problems is on the new Disney.com site, it wants you to list any affiliations and DVC is an option as is Annual Pass.

They want the accounts to link, but the directions for linking them make no sense at all. It says you need to have the same email listed for both, which I do, but it still does not link them.

It is a mess.

Thanks! Good to know! :thumbsup2

I was afraid that next they were going to want our guests addresses and phone numbers too! :worried:
