180+10 ADR and System Down!

No point in calling.

Upcoming Reservation Systems Update for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

Disney will perform a reservation-system enhancement beginning at 2 a.m. Eastern time (5 a.m. Pacific) on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 and lasting until Tuesday afternoon, April 30, 2013.

During this time, our systems will not be fully functional and we will not be able to process:
1.) Room-only or vacation package reservations for the Walt Disney World® Resort by phone or online ( including making new resort reservations, making modifications to existing Resort reservations, providing confirmations or taking payments)
2.) Reservations for dining, dinner shows, tours, recreation and children’s activity centers at the Walt Disney World Resort, as well as for Cirque du Soleil® La Nouba™
3.) Room-only or vacation package reservations for Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
4.) Room-only or vacation package reservations for the Hotels of the Disneyland ®Resort
5.) Room-only or vacation package reservations for Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

I'm a TA and we got notice yesterday on this outage.

I mean really. They could probably put a notice on their site for people to see somehow. I swear sometimes I really want to hate Disney. :headache:
 
Now I will have the kids walk home from school this afternoon! glad its a nice day out!
 
I wish they would specify "afternoon," because now I will be checking every minute after noon today. Knowing my luck, I'll be wasting time until 5pm when it will probably come back up. Ok, I need some good news today.
 

lets keep in touch....I will be calling and checking the DVC website and call # frequently. Will post ASAP when I get thru. Like I said DVC DISer told me 2 pm. Good Luck to all...may we all get our ADR's we want!
 
Add me to the frustrated. Today is our 180 and I can't make our ADR's... I hate the thought of wasting my day constantly checking back to see if the system is back up and running.

oh my! I went to change something today (yesterday was our 180 and I had success getting everything i wanted including BOG) ugh I can not believe the site is down..best of luck to everyone trying i would have been so frustrated if this happened to me yesterday :0(
 
Glad to know it wasn't just me!! It's been an early morning, so looks like it will be lots of coffee for me today!

Phones are down, too. The whole reservations system. Would have been nice to have prior notice, Disney. Sucks getting up at 5:45, logging in, choosing your ADR, waiting for 6 am to roll around only to get the "we're sorry this system is unavailable" message without any type of explanation.:mad: Then you try to call at 7 and you get the same darn thing. Seriously. Things gonna get H.A.I.R.Y this afternoon when they finally open it all back up!popcorn::
 
Still down. Will check again at 11am (2 eastern). Thanks for the heads up on that.
 
Called, got through, got through all the prompts, then I get to a live voice, who tells me they just shut it down again.
 
I just got through too. Spoke to Jerry. He said they were going good there for a bit, but the system went down again. They think it will take another hour. I asked him what he meant by going good for a bit. Apparently, some lucky people got reservations in today despite the madness. Lucky people! I am going to keep calling and checking the website every 10 minutes even though I have a new quote of an hour. I want BOG!
 
I just got "through" too. It was the animated/computer. No warning that the system was down. Asked me why I was calling. Went through to reservations. I told the computer the restaurant, time, number of people, and even got through to the credit card area to finish my reservation and then it suddenly said it needed a representative. So frustrating, because then the rep said the system was down and they were unable to make reservations. She couldn't give me a time it would be up. Come on Disney. I would like to nap with my kids, since I'm living on hours of sleep (all due to dining planning and getting up early).
 
Kind of perplexed as to why they still didn't put up the system is down recording onto the phone number.
 
Well, that was interesting. I called back since I thought it was odd that the animated service put me through so far. I got on with the animated service once again (still no warning about the system being down). I made a whole reservation for Oct. 27th at Chef Mickey's with no problem at all. I then tried to make a reservation for the 28th and it put me through to a rep. The rep then said the system was down. I asked her about the reservation I just made and she said since I had gotten a confirmation number, she was sure it was ok. If you all need to make a res for Oct. 27th you might be able to with the automated service!
