bear with me folks. the details. myself, mitch the 1 finger typist, and leander who had 18 days of me and just me!!!!!! we had booked 11 nights at the fairfield inn and suites on i-drive and 7 nights in disneys port orleans french quarter. we were flying pe on virgin on the saturday 24 april. you are all aware of the airport closures and we werent sure if we were going at all. i was devastated without giving a thought for those who had their trips cancelled, but i couldnt help how i felt. the normal happy and excited way you count down was a no-no for us as i couldnt look at the cases on the bottom of the bed. however wednesday gave us a different outlook and we were going. the next 2 days flew and before you could blink we were in our hired car on the way to manchester. the car was 39 quid one-way and the petrol 24.50. it pays to know the hertz agent in fishguard!!! we stopped on the way up in a small town called llandinum for a bar meal and had a bizarre conversation with lembit opik who was canvassing for the election. i didnt ask about the cheeky girls!!!!!!! we got to manchester and the premier inn hotel and settled in ready for our trip. ill continue as soon as i can and ill be wearing my flame-proof jacket as i type in some episodes "mitch-style". stay tuned
