We are a family with two boys, and they have cruised since they were 6 and 8. They are now 18 and 20, and just completed their 10th cruise. They have always LOVED the kids clubs, particularly the Vibe during those years, and the oldest one was VERY unsure of what a cruise would be like when he went the first time after turning 18. He envisioned sitting around with his parents on the pool deck, I think (which to him seemed way too boring). Anyway, he went to the first night meet and greet (always around 10 pm in the Cove cafe), met some people, then made sure to go to the first few events that they have over the first few days. There are around 3 events the first full day of the cruise, and then assorted things on subsequent days (mini-golf, for example). He ends up getting on a group chat, and they usually end up branching off in groups to do things. Each time he has hung out with 8 or 10 people, both boys and girls. We would see them in the pool or at the trivia events. There was an organized lunch in the MDR every day that he usually went to. He ended up loving his experience, asked to go back last year, still loved it, and now, we just went on another cruise where the other son is 18. Same experience. Each time there have been around 15 people who met up that first night, and my kids have never been without something to do (or someone to do it with). In fact, we barely see them during the day! Based on their feelings about it, I think you will have a great time!
