17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

all caught up again!! How funny that LP has a hate on for Mickey Ears. That was the first time I had 'seen' him without anything but the sweetest smile.
Fantastic time on Star Tours. And Stitch is a great protector!
the 'master yoda' backpack is really quite real looking. :rotfl: :rotfl: I can't believe I just said that, but YKWIM. :rotfl:
Brown Derby has just been placed on our must do list for next trip.

Aw that Master Yoda backpack is adorable!! And a private ride with the storm troopers - how cool! I had never heard of that happening before. I also have never heard of having a reception dinner in the GMR! I hope you do it for your vow renewal so we can hear all about it :teeth: I think that would be so fun - as long as I didn't have to eat my dinner with the skeletons or under the alien :scared:
HA HA HA. If you search under Janet2K you can read about some amazing private parties at WDW! She is my party planning hero! The idea I had (from reading her report) would be for a progressive dinner that moved throughout the ride with the courses. She started hers off in the mob movie section, moved to the old west for the main course and then ended up in Oz for dessert.

I have no idea what is possible and what's not, but I would love to utilize the Indiana Jones area instead of the mob movie area for appetizers (I like to serve my guests things in fake skulls:lmao: ). It's all only a dream at this point...but I am planning on getting down to business and really starting in on some serious planning discussions with WDW and dh when I finish up this trip report. :thumbsup2

Jay,

Still enjoying your TR and your wonderful family pictures! :goodvibes
:goodvibes I am glad you are still here!

 Yes it was!! And her summerhouse dinner was wonderful too!! I think she may have done an Alice in Wonderland Tea party too. I know of 1 recent bride who had her reception in FOLK! Now that was cool!! private meal and a private show! the only problem with having it inside the ride is how LATE it's going to have to be. even on early closing days, 7pm, give them 3 hrs to clear out the park and set up, it's 10PM before you have your reception! Almost as bad at the 9am starting for inpark ceremonies!
I am so excited about getting down to the nitty gritty of planning. I have more then a few ideas. Maybe I should start a planning thread so that I can get all of my ideas/hopes/wishes together. Do you know if anyone has ever had a private ride on anything? I haven't heard of that, but that would be my top dream. To set up dinner in the queue area of a ride and then enjoy that ride after dinner with our guests!:cloud9: Can you even imagine that?!:yay: I am sure someone has tried to arrange that before...I hope it is possible...but I am guessing that it may not be. :sad2:

I've read a number of your TR's and you give really good clues. I guess I'm more observent in cyper space than I am IRL!

Could you please send my kids a note telling them how cool I am? ;) :lmao:

Hugs ~ Barb

P.S. I also know why you took that particular photo by the Indiana Jones Theatre. :rolleyes1
HA HA HA You bring those kids of yours to the computer right now. I have a message for them.

Dear Barb's Triplets-

YOUR MOM ROCKS! She is just about as cool as they come!!

Hugs,
Jay

Ha ha ha, you are the master observer Barb! :thumbsup2

It does look 'real'. :lmao: I think I might like that backpack ALMOST as much as he does! ;)

I have no clue what his deal was with Mickey ears, but he was not having any part of them. No way, no how. And the instand those ears were off of his head, he smiled and cooed as if he hadn't been screaming the second before. I guess maybe he's a Donald Duck fan?

I am working on the next update now!
All of you wonderful trip report readers! Thanks for revisiting my family's vacation with me! I love reliving these precious memories!

Have you looked into having a basket made up by an outside person? I know that I have seen the names of some DISers who do that as their job (create gift baskets for WDW patrons). I don't remember who off of the top of my head. I am thinking 'Peggy' (as if that is helpful, sorry). But I know they were very willing to work with you as to making sure that they would create a basket suited perfectly for the person getting it.

Another idea would be to ship something down. Or you could try and call the Disney florist and see if they would be willing to work with you on what to send. I am sure they offer way more than the set list of items. I would check and see if the resort will charge a fee for accepting a package (a shipped one).

What about asking the mom or dad to 'carry' a special package down and pull it out and leave it in the room themselves?

What are you thinking of giving? I love surprises! :thumbsup2

I am not sure what I am going to give him yet. They are coming over for dinner tonight so I am hoping to find out who his favorite character is. I had better get moving though, they are leaving in a little over a week.:scared1: I'll probably just get something small and let mom and dad leave it in the room for him. They are flying so I don't want to take too much of their luggage space.

Your updates were great. The pictures of the boys are too cute as usual. Stitch is a very brave young man. :thumbsup2 My DD (6) would have freaked out.

Day 8...DHS Part 4

Following our excellent lunch at the Brown Derby, we headed back to The Great Movie Ride. I wanted to revisit the ride one more time so that I clearly had the different areas in my head (just in case it would work out for a vow renewal dinner setting in the near future). I took a ton of pictures but being as I didn't use the flash (and didn't get it on the right setting for pictures without flash) they didn't turn out at all. Ha ha. Where was MouseTriper when I needed her?!

After my daydreaming ride, we made our way over to the marked parade route on the DHS map. Also marked on the map were two areas where block party bash sort of festivities would occur. We chose to sit across from Sounds Dangerous (the marked route went past this spot). While we were waiting for the new parade to come by, dh staked out the bench with Goofy and our LP while the other two boys and I made our way into Sounds Dangerous. Stitch had never experienced this attraction before. I was surprised when he enjoyed it as much as he did. He spoke about Sounds Dangerous when he talked about his favorite Disney attractions (still does if anyone asks). I never would have guessed that he would have enjoyed it so much!

Back to the 'parade'. From our seating area, we could see the block party in the distance. It was full of dancing, characters giving high fives, dancers, trampoliners (is that a real word), loud music and LOTS of energy. It was basically a show sort of like the High School Musical show. A float rolls up, does a short show and then rolls out. We didn't want to wait in the block party area because we didn't want our littlest guy out in the broiling sun for an extended period of time. It really was a scorcher that day.

The block party was neat. Again, think along the lines of the HSM show with the crowd interaction, the music and dancing and then throw in some characters and trampoline artists and you have a pretty good idea of what the block party was.

All of that said, I was not a big fan of the parade portion of this offering. It was really nothing more than the cast of the block party moving past. All of the stages were folded up into big giant cubes. I know they have to keep the route clear for the large stages and speaker vehicles to make their way to and from the block party areas and maybe the only way they can do this is to call it a parade? For me, that was a big stretch. I know that someone must like it, they did borrow the idea from Disneyland (so it must have gotten good reviews) BUT that someone is not me. To me it's like calling the HSM float a parade when it rolls back by. Sure, you see the HSM float-stage roll by, but it's not a parade, is it? To me a good parade is an event in and of itself, not just a quick procession (and it was only a handful of minutes before this particular procession was done and past us).

I did get some pictures...and they seem more 'paradish" then I remember it being. And our Little Prince did love the bright colors and snappy music rolling past him.
WDW08068.jpg

Here is one of the closed up stages (aka a giant brightly painted cube) that rolls by. A lot of these big 'boxes' rolled by.
WDW08066.jpg

There were characters on top of some of the moving stage cubes. Here is a picture of Frozone.
WDW08063.jpg

There were other sorts of floats in the parade. I really did think they were neat. I also thought they moved by too quickly. Here they are.
WDW08076.jpg

WDW08075.jpg

A giant potato head. He was also hustling by quickly as well. I thought he was super cool looking though!
WDW08072.jpg

WDW08070.jpg

Lots of the giant orange safety cones rolled past.
WDW08087.jpg

Lots of piles of blocks rolled by.
WDW08086.jpg

Dispersed among the blocks, cones and cubes that were rolling past were a few floats with Pixar characters. I did adore these. Here is a few shots of the Monsters Inc one.
WDW08085.jpg

WDW08083.jpg

WDW08082.jpg

And the Monster's Inc themed stack of blocks.
WDW08080.jpg

The floats were all mini stages for the block party.
WDW08092.jpg

It was neat to see the more unusual Pixar characters.
WDW08091.jpg

WDW08088.jpg

I know I seem very down on this parade but it just really was not a parade that seemed up to the standards of Disney parades to me. So many of the same thing (the blocks, cubes and giant orange cones). The speedy pace. And although I dearly love the Pixar characters and was happy to see them, my glimpses were very brief because of the speed of the procession (and to me, that's what it was, a procession, not a parade). The characters and entertainers also had no sort of high fiving going on (at least in our area) and they weren't doing any 'shows' as they moved past (the way they sometimes have characters or CMS dance past in a formation or something). The performers were just dance stepping past and pumping their arms/ clapping in time to the music.

My personal feeling about this 'parade' is that I don't really need to see it again. If I do any future viewing, it will be of the block party itself. I think that show (which we watched from afar from our 'parade' route spot) looked very cute and would be a lot of fun. To me, the parade itself just seemed like more of a caravan to get their block party bash from one place to the other than a parade designed to entertain in it's own right. That doesn't mean that our LP didn't seem to enjoy every minute of it.
WDW08093.jpg

A quick snapshot of Stitch's super cool new Wall-E Crocs. I think they are so cute. Even the tread on the bottom looks like it would be left by Wall-E himself!
WDW08062.jpg

And a snapshot of a beautiful flower we saw as we walked to our next destination...The Art of Disney!
WDW08094.jpg

Once we made our way to the Art of Disney Animation area, we took the back way in so that we could go straight over to draw with an animator (one of our favorite things about DHS). We got there with about five minutes to go before the next drawing session started. Our family never minds having a wait here because of the fun game that is running on the TV screens above your head. They start to show a Disney character and you race to be the first one to guess who it is. The boys really like this. I think it's a lot of fun too. Here are a few snapshots of the boys happily passing the time waiting for the next drawing session to start. Notice that they are looking up at the screens. ;) Also note how empty it is behind them. This area of DHS has never been crowded when we were there (although I am sure when the Art with Animation show lets out, it can get pretty busy back there for a few minutes).
WDW08103.jpg

WDW08102.jpg

I took the three older boys in to draw while dh took our LP to meet some of the characters that were around. Dh said that our LP spent about five minutes playing with Frozone all by himself. I wish I would have been able to see that!

The character that we drew this time was Tinkerbelle. OUCH. She is a hard one to draw for sure! My Tinkerbelle looked more like a grasshopper on drugs or the lead singer of Aerosmith than it looked like the fairy friend of Peter Pan. And I am not joking! I will NOT be sharing that picture with anyone. HA HA HA.

After failing to create a recognizable Disney character we were off to see one of our favorite shows, The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. We snuck into the back of a show that had just started about two minutes before. We ate some frozen lemon ice's while we sat in the shade watching our favorite adventurer. All to soon the show was over and we made our way over to the restrooms for a quick potty break. It is then we realized that somehow, we were out of diapers. We set off to find the baby care area at DHS and came to find out that, YES, you can buy your diapers at WDW...but that you really shouldn't plan on doing so. DO NOT DO IT! OYE! We paid a lot of money for a very small pack of diapers. DO NOT let yourself run out of diapers at WDW! Do your wallet a favor, learn from our sad tale of diaper bag restocking woes. One good thing about our search for diapers is that it took us back to the front part of the park. It is here we ran into some very lively characters. This guy gave Stitch a hard time about him not having paid to bring Yoda into the park and how everyone had to pay, no piggybacker exceptions. It was such a funny interaction.
WDW08096.jpg

As we started toward our next attraction, we were stopped by this guy.
WDW08097.jpg

Apparently he had lost his work order and he was sure that we must have known where it was and were pulling a 'fast one' on him. Hee hee hee. I adore Streetmosphere actors! They make me laugh so hard!

And I took this shot to show just how empty the park really was on this day. This picture was taken mid afternoon...look at how few people are milling around!

TO BE CONTINUED...

Hmmm...if you are going to have them carry something...why not make it a "pixie dust pack" or maybe call it a "Ball of Pixie Dust" or "Magical Ball" or whatever other cute name you can think of.. You can even set it up at dinner tonight, telling the little guy that some lucky children find 'pixie dust packs' every once in a great while. Explain that it doesn't always happen, but when it does, it's extra magical. Then do find out his favorite character and head to the Diseny Store (do you have one near you?). Grab one of the little Beanie Baby sized stuffed characters of his favorite (they have most of them) and a few other very small sized trinkets. Then grab a roll of crepe paper and some glitter (or confetti or better yet BOTH) and roll up the character in the center of what will become a ball of crepe paper. You won't have to worry about where the glitter falls since Mousekeeping will be vaccuming their room daily anyway.

As you roll, add glitter/confetti to each 'layer' and every once in a while work in some tiny trinket (maybe even a Disney pin or two if you have extras around). You could also add a few pennies and quarters ( 4 quarters for each penny)to the wrapping layers so that he can use the pressed penny machines at WDW (provide a short note in the center with the small stuffed animal explaining what the coins are for). Another idea would be to buy a package of Disney themed stickers and cut them up into small individual sticker pieces and then roll those up as you go. Maybe even a few pieces of his favorite hard candy (don't use chocolate, it might melt during travel). Another idea might be one of the Cars or Nemo chapsticks that you can pick up at Walmart (they have them some of the time at the Walmart near us). Any smallish sort of object that you can roll up in the outer layers of the crepe paper so they will fall out as he starts to unroll it.

When you get to the end of the crepe paper roll use Disney stickers to hold it closed at the end and insert the whole thing into a ziploc bag. Warn your friends that they shouldn't give it to him until he is in the resort so that they don't end up with glitter all over their house before they leave, or on his traveling clothes and all over an airport lounge. HA HA HA. You can elminate the glitter worry by just using confetti instead.

Okay, I will shut it now. Sorry for going on and on, I get so excited thinking up surprises! HTH!

Hi Jay -

I finally caught up on your thread and loving it so far!

I tired drawing at the animation studio once. I can't even draw a circle so my Winnie the Pooh looked all wrong.

I enjoyed your BPB pics. I was sad we missed it becausse my DS would love to see the toy Story floats, Monsters Inc. and Bugs life. But it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the MK parades or even Stars & Motor Cars. Those Walle Crocs are so cute! I have to get those for DS.

Love those pictures of the "parade". I know what you mean about the block party going by way too fast. We sat on the steps where the new American Idol show is going to be and we had the Monsters Inc characters in front of us. After not seeing a daytime parade in YEARS I kinda liked it but I do wish it went by and not just stopped. You do have to give everyone credit though. To keep up that energy and in that heat. Holy cow! And I don't even want to think of the people in costumes! Especially Sully!

Ahhhh, I've missed so many great updates, but with end-of-semester goodness and finals here at college, things have been a bit hectic!!! I'm so glad to have a few minutes to write, though!:yay: :yay: :yay:

His brothers helped him hold up his winnings. Just look at how happy he was!

Goofy and his tickets.
th_wddw08298.jpg

:) You think that no one ever wins these jackpots, and then BAM!:scared1: The boys must have been thrilled; they could probably write the "Arcade" section in Birmbaum's next "Official Guide to WDW With Kids" ;) .

We all slept in this morning. All of us except Aladdin that is. When I woke up, I found him outside reading a book he had gotten while on vacation. What a great way to start a Disney day! Doesn't he look like the poster child for a relaxing vacation?!

th_disney08125.jpg

He looks like the poster child for an IDEAL vacation to me!:thumbsup2 Call me crazy, but it would be my dream to have a "reading day" built into every vacation. When I used to stay in hotels with my family when I was younger, I would get up early and go into the bathroom to read so as not to disturb my parents and brother. I have many a memory of sitting on either a toilet seat or a towel on the floor, flipping through the pages of Nancy Drew or the latest mystery to fall into my hot little hands!:lmao: It's nice to have some quiet time all to yourself in the morning, though, regardless of the circumstances.

I love the following pictures. They really capture the special bond that our Aladdin and Little Prince share.
th_WDW08016.jpg

th_WDW08017.jpg

:cloud9: Yes, THIS is happiness in its truest form.:cloud9: These are the kind of memories that take you through the tough times, that remind people why they love each other when relationships become strained, and that bring people together even though they may live thousands of miles away from each other. I know I've blabbed about my "baby" brother before, but some of my best memories are when I used to read him to sleep (hmmm, can you tell reading is HUGE in our family?). I felt a bit sad when he was old enough to read himself to sleep! Oh, you have so many more years of enjoying a little one...I can't wait until I have some little ones to cuddle and spoil, whether they be mine or if they belong to someone near and dear to me:cutie: .

While we were waiting for the new parade to come by, dh staked out the bench with Goofy and our LP while the other two boys and I made our way into Sounds Dangerous.

:rotfl: I can't help remembering your TR from last year; were Dh, Goofy and LP safe from the "pretentious, marauding, attempting to bench-steal" bandits of 2007? No one thought that they deserved the bench more? That part of your TR made me laugh and I was impressed at how coolly and calmly you handled the whole situation!

:lmao: This reminded me of the great "feminine product" search of 2004 that occurred when I went to Hawaii. We had just finished climbing Diamond Head and were on our way back to our hotel in Waikiki and I was..."surprised". Needless to say, I was shocked at the prices that they charge in corner stores for basic conveniences; I think it was something like $5.99 for 10 Tampax or something rediculous like that!!! I'm guessing that the diapers were something like $8.99 for 3:sad2: . It's not like we have a choice in that kind of situation, though!

I can't wait to hear more about your beautiful family. To think that you're not even halfway through your TR yet!!!

Hi Jay! You will laugh at me but when you asked what we ate at the Brown Derby I was so happy to go get my photo album and know I could look it up! No one outside of our family asks me about anything in there so I was like a little kid grabbing my book! :rotfl:
Dh and I both had the filet mignon, dd had grouper and ds had salmon. Dd and I had chocolate flouless cake with berries and chocolate drizzle. Dh and ds had banana foster with banana mousse. It was all so good. (I am noticing that I had written more detail on dessert! )
When we finished dinner the park was closing so it was pretty empty and we felt like we had the whole park to ourselves. The nightime lighting, the old Hollywood music and the warm evening made it all so magical. A really nice CM took our picture on a bench looking towards TOT. It was one of my favorite nights there!

Thanks for the ideas. You are excellent at surprises. Unfortunately we do not have a Disney store close so I will have to see what I can find at trusty ole Wal-Mart. His favorite movie is Toy Story. Hopefully that won't be to hard to find something for. I wish it was Cars though, I see Cars merchandise all the time. I'll let you know how it works out.

I was curious about the Block Party Parade. We just missed it on our DHS day. I guess we didn't miss too much. I am glad LP liked it. :thumbsup2

I'll have to remember Art of Disney Animation next time. Both of our DDs love to draw.

Great update! Can't wait for the next installment!:surfweb:

My husband would have loved the starwars ride with the storm troopers. LOL.:rotfl: It sounds like a great day. I love unplanned stuff like that. Great updates once again Jay!!

Wow, my boys would have absolutely flipped out if Storm Troopers rode Star Tours with us! That's very cool! :thumbsup2 The Yoda backpack is so cute - I do remember one of my boys picking it up when we were there. Sounds like your day at DHS went very well, despite the LP's aversion to Mickey Ears!

I am so excited about getting down to the nitty gritty of planning. I have more then a few ideas. Maybe I should start a planning thread so that I can get all of my ideas/hopes/wishes together. Absolutely!! Start a Planning Journal on the wedding board!! your TGMR reception will be so cool! And it's just a great way to organize all your thoughts! So when are you planning this for??

:cool1:

Wonderful updates!
What a great surprise for all of you at Star Tours!
Stitch is an incredible kid!! I'm proud of him for standing up to that Storm Trooper! That Yoda is just the nuts!

I think Aladdin has good taste in food. That appy at the Brown Derby looked and sounded so tasty! All the food looked grand! This restaurant and the Great Movie Ride are musts for me and the DH when we go next time!

I can't wait to read about the kids' reaction to TSMM.

Just before the doors popped open she asked us to step into the empty row. We did (with big grins). We thought we were going to get our own private Star Tour! How cool would that have been?! Turns out we were wrong...

When the doors opened up, there were already two "people" waiting inside. Two all white from head to toe people. TWO STORM TROOPERS!!

Even better then a ride by ourselves, we got to experience Star Tours with our own escort of Strom Troopers! Talk about excited! I think I may have floated in! The boys on the other hand shot a few nervous looks at the Storm Troopers as we walked in past them and buckled ourselves in to the middle of the front row. The Storm Troopers buckled themselves in on either end of the row and like good guests, stowed their blasters in the bins under their seats. Seriously, they did. Once they did that, we listened to the safety briefing with them eyeing us up to make sure we were listening the whole time. They were totally in character. During the ride, Goofy kept a hold of my hand and kept looking from one Storm Trooper to the other all during the ride. He is my cautious one for sure!

That is sooo cool, Jay! I have never heard of that happening; I'm so glad it happened for your boys!

Isn't the Brown Derby yummy? I think we sat at the same table.

these are the realy adventures one would like to discover in life...
great findings..i wish to congratulate you and your family for such a wonderful discovery...
 :cheer2:

I have been sucked in on Page 1....Great now I will get NO WORK done today! LOL

Hi Jay -

I finally caught up on your thread and loving it so far!

I tired drawing at the animation studio once. I can't even draw a circle so my Winnie the Pooh looked all wrong.
:lmao: Seriously, my first Tinkerbelle was FAR scarier than your Winnie the Pooh could have been. It was one of those pictures that you look back at and swear you must have been under the influence of some mind altering drug when you attempted it. :lmao:

I enjoyed your BPB pics. I was sad we missed it becausse my DS would love to see the toy Story floats, Monsters Inc. and Bugs life. But it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the MK parades or even Stars & Motor Cars. Those Walle Crocs are so cute! I have to get those for DS.
I adore the Pixar characters, so that part of the parade was a real treat for me (as well as all of my boys). I think that was the problem I had, that the parade it replaced was SO MUCH better (in my opinion) and it wasn't up to the standards of any other WDW parade. I guess it's focus is just more on the block party. My advice is to go to one of the marked block party areas to view this 'parade'...then you will not be let down! You will get an entire show/party!

I love those Wall-E Crocs too. They are so darling and so detailed. I wish they made those in my size! ;)

See, imagine that you weren't in an area where ANYTHING stopped...that was all we saw, everything just rolling past us. But not really any interaction. I have NO IDEA how anyone who works at WDW and takes part in any of their parades keeps up the energy throughout the entire route, in the heat, in the sun! I am usually wilting just sitting there watching them. I give them so much credit for having that much energy and being that dedicated to putting on a great show!

Ahhhh, I've missed so many great updates, but with end-of-semester goodness and finals here at college, things have been a bit hectic!!! I'm so glad to have a few minutes to write, though! How did your finals go? It's great to see you! Glad you found a few minutes. I remember how hectic the end of a semester could get!

You think that no one ever wins these jackpots, and then BAM!: The boys must have been thrilled; they could probably write the "Arcade" section in Birmbaum's next "Official Guide to WDW With Kids" ;) .I know that I NEVER win any sort of jackpot on any of those things but Goofy often wins arcade games, carnival games and he rocks at stuff like bb guns and archery too. He has great hand eye coordination and reflexes. He obviously did NOT , inherit this trait from myself. :rotfl: Over Thanksgiving, Goofy went skeet shooting for the first time with his dad, grandpa, uncles and older cousins. Out of a group of 8 he finished second only to his dad (and the other adults aren't 'bad' shots). After I typed this I got to wondering what skeet shooting possibly had to do with him winning a jumping jackpot...NOTHING I guess.:lmao: But I guess I was thinking more about how he wins those sorts of jackpots and carnival games often. The kid can even get stuff out of claw machine games with regularity. I think I have gotten something once in my entire life.

I have many a memory of sitting on either a toilet seat or a towel on the floor, flipping through the pages of Nancy Drew or the latest mystery to fall into my hot little hands!:lmao: It's nice to have some quiet time all to yourself in the morning, though, regardless of the circumstances.Aladdin is that poster child. I love reading on vacation too. Thus me sneaking away with a good book for a few hours one night. ;) Don't get me started on how much I love Nancy Drew. I remember I couldn't get my hands on those books quickly enough. That series and the Trixie Belden books were my addiction for many years!

Oh, you have so many more years of enjoying a little one...I can't wait until I have some little ones to cuddle and spoil, whether they be mine or if they belong to someone near and dear to me:cutie: .I think it's moments like these that keep me planning vacations. Honestly, we are a close family no matter where we are. I can spot the closeness and specail moments each and every day that take place within our family. BUT there is just something so wonderful about enjoying magical things together. The beauty of leaving all of your cares/responsibilities behind and just marveling at everything together really lets you focus on the special relationships.

:rotfl: I can't help remembering your TR from last year; were Dh, Goofy and LP safe from the "pretentious, marauding, attempting to bench-steal" bandits of 2007? No one thought that they deserved the bench more? That part of your TR made me laugh and I was impressed at how coolly and calmly you handled the whole situation!:lmao: Nope, not a soul tried to take the bench from him. :lmao: I guess I get all of the fun for myself. :lmao:

I don't remember the exact price but I do remember thinking that I could have bought an entire big pack for the price (or almost). And you are right, it's not like we have a choice. ;) Ouch on the prices in Hawaii! I remember seeing high prices on most things while we were in St. Martin this year as well. I guess it's because everything either has to float or fly in.
My words are in red. Thanks for taking time to post. Good luck as you finish up the semester! :thumbsup2
