17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

The Wave sounds devine! I'll definitely have to put that on my list of future "must tries"!

I sure hope you find your pictures of the unbirthday party (what a fun idea, by the way!!) I'd love to see them.

:goodvibes The picture of all of your men is wonderful; I think it's frameworthy!;) The Wave sounds like a great restaurant; I never got to eat at the Concourse Steakhouse and was disapponted to see it go, so I'll have to try its replacement the next time I go to WDW. It must be good, seeing as you cancelled the California Grill to eat there again!:thumbsup2

I love the sculpture picture too. We have walked by that numerous times... and now I want to get a picture there!

Glad that the wave was so great.... hope to see the cake!

Hi Jay! I was happily surprised to stumble upon your new report this morning. I am loving it as much as your first two. :goodvibes

Jay - great installments!!!!! I love the pic of all your guys!! (Didn't you have an equally cute one from last year at the same place????)

Keep it up girlfriend!!! I'm waiting for each installment!!! :yay:  :cool1:

Your boys are adorable.:lovestruc

I have all girls and really wanted a little prince for myself.:sad2:

Oh well, i always enjoy your reports and remember you being pregnant in the last one. right?

Hey Jay...wow the WAVE sounds yummy for sure. And I adore that picture of all your guys on the Mickey. I have never been to that....is that out front of the Contemporary???

Anyway...love the new update...the boys all look so cute. Can't wait to hear what happens next!!!

Hi Jay!
I just read the installment about what you found in your room! :scared1: :sad2: ICK! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, espeically when you were exhausted. Kudos to you for being polite, yet firm, about it with the WL staff. Your poor Aladdian too...that is scary. :guilty: I'm glad it was taken care of for you, with no serious ill affects, and I do hope you get your FULL refund of that night.

I have now read several rave reviews about The Wave. Not one bad one! I wish we could squeeze it in somehow on our trip.

I would like to know as well where that Mickey statue is, is it near the CR? It's really neat! Great picture of all your men! :thumbsup2

Addendum to my last couple of posts:

How in the world did I miss your LAST Trip Report?? I think what happened is that we were on our OWN trip when you were posting some of your September 07 trip - and then my PDSS (Post-Disney Stress Syndrome) kept me away for awhile! But I'm busy planning a trip for my whole family (parents, Brother and SIL, nephew and niece) for December so I'm in full gear!!!

That said, I am now reading both of your last two trip reports at the same time... I love reading about all of your adventures!!!! So, I guess I'm a stalker for the moment!!

Keep up the good work girl!

Hey I just finished readings and am definitely subscribing to read more! YOu and your family are adorable and look like you're having such a great time. Even Little Prince looks so happy in every picture! Kudos to you for keeping your cool with the gross stuff in your room. :thumbsup2 I'm not a mother so I don't get that "motherly protective instinct" but I still would have been fuming to see all of that! Can't wait for an update :goodvibes

I know The Wave must have been amazing for you to have canceled a reservation at California Grill! The photo of all of your guys on the Mickey sign is perfect! That one should definitely go in a picture frame!
The Wave really was amazing. We loved the food and everything else about it!

Oh how YUMMY sounding! I guess we do have to try the WAVE. If you'd give up the Cali grill for it, it must have been truly special.

That photo of the boys around the Mickey is wonderful! If only you were in it, too, I'd print it off and add it to my 'gallery' of family photos. Can't WAIT for your next installment!
I am telling you...the Wave has become (dare I go this far?) my favorite restaurant at a resort. It's up there with Jiko, Artist Point and the Kona Cafe on my list.

Wow!! Another installment! You are fast!
I hope you can find those pictures of the Wave and the unbirthday party.
The picture of all your guys at the Mickey head looks familiar. Did you do this pose last time? It would be fun to pose there each time you go to see the changes. But now thinking about it I'll bet this is what you are doing!
We have tried to stop by the Mickey statue each time we are able to make it the Contemporary (to stay or visit). It is what we are trying to do. It's not always something we remember to do. :rotfl:

I hope I find them as well. I cannot imagine where they have gone! I am stumped, but still hopeful! ;)

Frameworthy! That's a great term! I think I might just have to borrow that one in the future. It was hard to let go of our reservation at the California Grill, but in the end, it was a good decision!

I love the sculpture picture too. We have walked by that numerous times... and now I want to get a picture there!

Glad that the wave was so great.... hope to see the cake!
I hope to show it to you. I do this every time we go to WDW, somehow my family always loses at least half a day's worth of pictures. That must be some sort of talent! :lmao:

Hi Jay! I was happily surprised to stumble upon your new report this morning. I am loving it as much as your first two.
Hey there! It's good to see you! I hope you have been well. And I have another installment just about ready for posting! :)

I love taking pictures over and over again at the same place. Not just at WDW, but everywhere. It really highlights the growth and changes and even what stays the same! :)

Think of me passing the little princess dresses by with a sigh. I have practically had to tie my hands together to pass those displays by sometimes. :rotfl: In the end, the only thing that stops me from buying them all up, is the fact that dh would never let me dress his sons up like a princess. :rotfl: :lmao: I love my boys and wouldn't trade them for the world (or a little girl) but those dresses do so call my name! And yes, the last trip report I wrote, I was carrying our Little Prince around in my midsection.

It's actually in back of the Contemporary. You go down the main back stairs and head toward the the pool area/pool bar/dock. You cannot miss it!

When you are at the WL, you can take a launch directly from the WL to the CR and do your own mini photo shoot! :thumbsup2

WOW, that sounds like quite an undertaking. What a big bunch of plans you must be whipping up! And how exciting to get to do that! Did you ever end up writing a trip report? If so, please post the link. I am myself suffering from PDSS. It's a very serious problem! :rotfl2:

I was surprised at just how happy that our Little Prince was during the entire trip. He just happily soaked it all up. I was so glad because I know that it very easily could have gone down a very different path. I shudder to think about what our time would have been like if he had hated the characters, dinners, rides, etc.:scared1:

I will have the next installment up tonight! :)

Jay-

I forgot to mention our youngest DD was 9 months on her 1st trip, similiar to "little Prince" and she too enjoyed everything sooo much. Everyone kept telling us we were crazy to take her soo young...but it worked out fine.

She wasn't quite as smiley as your little one but none the less enjoyed herself. She was a very serious baby and was quiet and taking it all in.

Day 2 continued....Pool Time!!

After nibbling on the cake and I do mean only nibbling (we were as stuffed as a turkey on Thanksgiving from our meal at the Wave) we threw on our swim wear and headed down to the WL pool.

The pool area is just as spot on in it's theming as the rest of the lodge. You could well imagine that you are swimming within the boundaries of a national park. Here are the first shots I got of our older boys during our afternoon out at the pool.

One of the first things we did was answer the important question...What lurks in the water at the WL?!
Disney2008200.jpg

It sort of looks familiar.
Disney2008199.jpg

Disney2008201.jpg

Whew, it's onlyStitch and Goofy! :rotfl:
Disney2008197.jpg

Disney2008196.jpg

I also found one very happy Aladdin.
Disney2008202.jpg

And a sleeping Little Prince. That's right, our littlest guy fell asleep almost as soon as we got him into the pool.
Disney2008195.jpg

We spent about an hour splashing around before the afternoon pool side games started. Once they did, the boys were eager to jump out of the pool and into the activities. I thought it was thoughtful of the lifeguards to pour water over the deck area to help keep the kid's feet cool.

The hula hoop :woohoo: (doesn't that smilie look like he could be doing the hula hoop)contest was NOT their thing. :lmao: They faired a bit better (read a whole lot) in the limbo contest, even though they didn't win, they made a respectable showing. Here they are in line to limbo. In this picture you can see the prize table that they gave away to the winners. Some of the games had prizes you got to chose out of a little treasure chest (which you cannot quite see in the picture) and other games you got to chose from the big prizes you can see behind the boys.
Disney2008204.jpg

Here is Aladdin showing just how low he can go!
Disney2008203.jpg

Part 2 coming right up

After a few other games, the lifeguards led the kids in a bit of dancing.
Disney2008211.jpg

And then it was on to the final game of the day. "Musical spots". All of the boys had a lot of fun playing this one. Although Stitch and Goofy didn't make it very far, Aladdin did. He made it to the second to last round of dot hopping.

Disney2008212.jpg

Although Aladdin didn't come out on top of the "musical spots" game, dh did! While the kids were playing, we adults had a game of our own. We had to be the first person to shout out the artist of whatever song the lifeguard played. She had an Ipod and she was offering up a very varied selection of songs. Dh and another dad tied and both got to pick a big prize at the end of the game. Dh is just a big kid at heart and was very excited to have won. You would have thought the win came with a free trip to Europe from the way he smiled. ;) What he did chose from the prize cart was a 3-D Pirates of the Caribbean puzzle. It looks like it will be a lot of fun whenever we work on putting it together!

After our 'big win' :lmao: we made our way to the beach to relax and drip dry a bit before heading back to the room. Along the way, Stitch was excited to find some bear paw prints in the path.

A favorite snapshot of Stitch.
Disney2008217.jpg

Before we walked back to our room, I had dh hold up his prize. I am still laughing at how proud he was of himself.

Up next, a night out alone, celebrating our anniversary!

To be continued...

I  this picture of your older three! Dare I say I also think that this one is frameworthy?;) For me, that expression goes back to the days before digital cameras, when you would wait with bated breath for your vacation pictures to come back from the 1-hour developers (or 48-hour, if you were a penny-pinching university student like me!). Only those that I deemed especially poignant, or those that were artistically worthy, would have a special frame picked out for them. Now I just make slideshows on my laptop, but sometimes I wish for the good old days!

Isn't it funny how babies seem to fall asleep anywhere and at all times? And that they manage to sleep through everything? With three active :dance3: older ones, though, I'm sure you appreciate that!:thumbsup2

What a great time at the pool!!

OMG, look at The Little Prince holding onto his toes! He knows that I wanted to bite them!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

I really laughed at DH being so proud of winning!! How exciting for him. The boys looked so cute participating in the games.

Can't wait for more!!

Good for DH winning that 3D puzzle! :worship: Glad to hear your boys had such a good time with the pool activities! :goodvibes Loving everything, can't wait for more.

Hi Jay, I just found your TR tonight (waiting for another Zzub installment)
You have a beautiful family, thanks for taking us on this journey with you.

PS I am so sorry about your son getting sick, thank God it was not worse. I hope the rest of the trip- including your cruise- were healthy experiences.
