Why does she need to go to the next planning session?

My thoughts exactly. My FMIL was not invited to either my site visit or my PS. I just took pictures and showed her when I got home. She has no say in anything about my wedding so I didn't need her there. (now that sounded a bit bridezilla .... lol)

I won't even let my FMIL see my wedding dress. Is that mean?!

As of now they aren't paying for anything except for rehersal so I don't feel they need to be apart of the planning. Anyways I want my dress to be a surprise fot my DF and I feel like his mom will let it slip about my dress.

Jnale - I'm so sorry. It sounds like my FMIL and Mistressofallevil's FMIL are not twins, they are triplets, with your FMIL being the third.

I've had a tremendously hard time selecting my BM dress colors because my FMIL bought her dress a week before my DF even proposed. It happens to be the color I wanted, blue. I wanted the same shade of blue for my BMs. She was thrilled that she was going to match them. So now all five are wearing chocolate (which I love, but DF hates) Whatever. :confused3

And now there are rumors that she may be planning to "surprise" us with a catholic priest ready for a blessing ceremony at our pre- wedding bon voyage party the week before our Disney wedding. That party will have 200 more guests than our Disney wedding and she has offered to pay for a second wedding dress they want me to wear to the pre-party and they bought formal invitations and wanted to word it so that people would think they were invited to a wedding.

I'm sure your FMIL is a sweet woman, just like mine and mistress', but I definitely think it's good to put your foot down. And you are definitely NOT a bridezilla.

That is really bad, but so difficult to stop without creating waves.

We are really lucky that my DBF hadn't spoken to any of his family for 11 years, they don't even know where he is, so we don't have this problem. My mother is absolutely brilliant and hasn't done anything like this. She is really interested in hearing what we want and what we have bought and will always give an opinion if asked, but waits to be asked.

Good luck with it x
