16 people at CRT? Booking questions.

I've been lurking at this board for over a year and I'm finally deciding to come out of the shadows.

Our family is planning a mini "reunion" of sorts at Disney World before Christmas and some my relatives have decided that they want to go to Cinderella's Royal Table. ...This probably wouldn't be a problem but it would be 16 of us in all.

Can CRT accomadate all of us? Also, should I call directly to Group Dining? Tomorrow is my 180 day mark and I'm freaking out. We go to Disney all the time, but I've never had to make such a big reservation like this.

Also, CRT requires payment in full at the time of the reservation. We're using the dining plan... so what will happen when I call?

Thank you so so much!

I would call and say that you need 4 tables of 4, or two of 8... seems like they's be able to accomadate that easier.

I don't know anything about group booking, but call them today and get all the questions you have answered before your 180 mark tomorrow.

If you are using the dining plan then you will just have to put a credit card on file in case you don't show up. No paying ahead.

FYI: CRT does not include gratuity anymore.

Good luck!! You might want to have a back up plan just in case. For some reason CRT has been really hard to get lately - especially breakfast!!

I would call at least 2 weeks before your 180 check in day mark and speak to Group Dining. ( 1-407-939-7526) If they determine that you need a Grand Gathering number and you are a DVC member then I was told that it could take 4-5 days to get you that number.

This morning was day 6 for us and still no GG#. Tomorrow I get to call and complain that I have not been able to book the GG that I wanted because I am still waiting for DVC to get me my number. It is very frustrating!

Other than that we have been able to book our group of 17 for meals. We did not get the places we wanted even at the 180 plus ten mark but at least we have found places to eat.

Break up your group... this is especially true if your group has kids in it and you want to do the breakfast...

Failure to do so will result in "1" free photo per table regardless of the number of children.

Thanks so much guys!

Twende, if you see this again, we're using DVC as well. Since I didn't know about the GG# we are calling for it tonight so we can do our Safari GG (hopefully). Do you think we'll have any problems booking it after the 180 day mark when we finally get our number? Thank you so much for telling me about this! :D Good luck on getting your GG booked!

If you are staying at a Disney property, I would strongly urge you to take advantage of 180 day + 10 ADRs. Two years ago, we had a group of 10 and it was a challenge getting the ADRs we wanted even at 180 days. Some of your ADRs may require you to split up but with a group your size that might not be a bad thing for a few meals.
