:cheer2: Fantastic news, CAnn! I'm sure you, your DD and the rest of your loved ones will be overjoyed with the news thus far.

You'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers while awaiting those final test results. Isn't it funny how it sometimes takes a very scary brick wall tumbling down around us to make us realize that we've got to take care of ourselves? Be well!

Oh thank goodness... I am so glad you got some good news!
Continuing to think of you and sending pixie dust as you await the final test results

Good news thus far!!!!!:cool1:

May I respectfully suggest that, along with the GI work up, you have bloodwork drawn to test for celiac disease, if that hasn't already been done.

If the GI work up is negative, the next person I'd be seeing is an endocrinologist for thyroid & diabetes testing.

The symptoms you have shared are so varied that they can really be attributed to many different conditions, from many different "body systems"...best to go through it system by system, ruling things out.

Great news!! Here's to more of it!

Wonderful news C.Ann!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I have no doubts in the power of prayer!! I can imagine you and your family are breathing a big thankful sigh of relief thus far and ready to celebrate w/your sweet little DGD :goodvibes. Sorry about the possible emphysema down the road, but hopefully you'll do your best to ward that off a long time!

The scope aka 'silver stallion' is no biggie, the prep is the worst part ;) . IMO, it should be required of every person, specially those suffering with issues like you had last fall. Our SonIL is in GI and claims if patients had this test every few yrs, they could ward off most colon cancers. Also, this is how they discovered my Mom's celiac disease, which symptoms made her anemic, bowel problems, weight and muscle loss. You can bet I have mine and am I'm not taking an chances!

I agree with Disney Doll w/needing a complete thyroid and diabetes work up with an Endocrinologist. They will do more thorough testing that your regular dr may not. My dr felt I was in the norm range too, but my endo proved otherwise and meds made 100% difference.

Personally, I feel these kinds of trials and tribulations make us wake up and smell the roses! A reminder we really need to take care of our temple, get out and live each day to the fullest enjoying the many blessings we are surrounded with. My dear Daddy used to say: 'What doesn't kill us will make us stronger.' He was a figher who was blessed with 9 lives!! :goodvibes

Godspeed and keep your chin up C.Ann! When you get that total clean bill of health we'll have a party to celebrate your new lease on life! BTW ~ I have plenty of xtra pounds that I'm willing to donate!?!?

PS ~ Keep forgetting, sending best wishes and prayers for your Mom and DSis. I hope they both have speedy and complete recoveries.

Great News!!

Have you tried drinking Ensure drinks? I know the doctors had my Grandmother drink them because she wouldn't eat and weighed next to nothing, she even liked them! Just a suggestion.

When I was pregnant, my dr had me make a milkshake with Ensure every day. Not hard, 1 can of Ensure, 2 or so scoops of ice cream, put it in the blender, and voila......they aren't bad either!

Hope things keep looking up for you C.Ann!

Steph

Wonderful news!!! Thank the Lord!!!

:flower3: :cheer2: I haven't posted, but I've been following your rollercoaster ride over the past few days. It pleases me to read that the diagnosis today was not a terrible as you had feared. Stay strong and feel better soon. pixiedust:

C. Ann, I'm so glad to hear that your test came back good.

About six months ago, I had a similar problem. I just felt tired and lousy all the time. I had stomach pains and terrible gas all the time. In a period of three months, I lost 30 pounds. That was okay. I didn't mind losing the weight, but I was really worried because I wasn't doing anything to lose it. It was just falling off. I realized that part of the reason I was losing so fast was because I wasn't eating very much. My stomach was just to upset all the time. I was very worried that I had something really bad wrong with me.

I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. They found three polyps in my stomach and one in my colon. They removed the polyps and they were benign. The doctor also told me to stop taking Ambien CR. I'd had an episode that landed me in the hospital for two days. At first they thought I'd had a stroke. All the tests came back clean so they decided it was some type of migraine, however the doctor wanted me off the Ambien CR just in case it was an allergic reaction.

Once I stopped taking the Ambien CR, my appetite came back and my stomach stopped hurting. I started eating again and my energy came back. Since then, I've regained about 5 pounds (darn!), but that's okay. I'm so glad to be feeling better.

The reason I'm telling you this is because it could turn out that something has just upset your system. Once you figure it out, everything will be fine. I certainly hope that is the case. Try not to dwell on the bad possibilities.

I'm pulling for you!

 AWESOME ... a few down and a few to go ...keeping you in prayer..enjoy your day and the sunshine, i bet it feeels extra good today
