Hi everyone. I'm planning a trip with my two 12-year-old daughters for their next springbreak...March 2014.
We will be in a pop-up. Any thoughts/feedback about these specific loops? Thanks!

We've been in both and liked both, but liked 1500 quite a bit better partly because of the location and partly because of the site we got which was along the canal, so my boys could just walk over and drop in a line to fish :)

I have pics in our blog from our Aliner: www.alineradventures.blogspot.com

I have stayed in both and like them both for different reasons. For shorter trips when I don't rent a golf cart or bring bikes, 1500 is perfect because of its proximity to The Meadows. If we have a cart or bikes, we love 2000. Bigger sites, more spread out and there are 3 comfort stations instead of just one. I am trying to decide which one I want for our upcoming trip now! :scratchin

And just to note that requests are request and not guarantees. When we were on the 2000 loop we had requested 1500. SO just go in with an open mind if you do make a request - the Fort is way fun no matter what!

We go camping at Fort Wilderness every Thanksgiving and have stayed in both loops, 1500 & 2000. We prefer the 1500.....smaller loop, more trees and quieter. We found staying in the 2000, more people and very loud. We request 1500 every year, but the last 2 years we got 2000. At Thanksgiving, that loop is extremely very crowded. 1500 loop location is awesome too....close to the pool....campfire, gift shop. Now.....don't get me wrong.....2000 loop is fine, but we just prefer the 1500 loop.;)

We prefer the 2000 loop. Yes, it is further from the pool, but in our experience, it was quieter than the 1500 loop (the opposite of a pp, so I suppose it would really depend on the other campers at that time). Also, the sites are bigger. The one time we were put in 1500, our tent barely fit. We also had less shade.

Again, all of these things are dependent upon your fellow campers, which site you land on, and your personal set up. For us, we prefer 2000

thanks for the info guys. I'm sure whatever loop we're in, we'll be very happy to be there!

We stayed in the 1500 loop as well. It was really close to a bus stop and the pools. Matter of fact I might be sad if we can't get it next time we go. We were also towards the back of the loop where we could walk right over the little ledge and see the canal. It was totally awesome. :)
