My mom just told me she found our passes from 15 years ago. There is one day left on the tickets. Is there anyway to check to see if they are still valid? We could always use an extra day at WDW.

As far as I know, they should still be valid. The only thing is that the old tickets might not have "hopping" privileges. Might be one park one day. You will need to exchange the old tickets for new ones at Guest Relations. Have fun!!

I agree with the above poster - they will be valid but might not include the park hopper. Although they might - in 2000, I used a pass that was issue in 1990. It had two days left and Guest Relations issued me a new 2 day pass with a hopper.

How cool is that - you get an extra day at WDW!!! :cool1:

they are absolutely still good, and anything that was over a 1 day ticket at that time was automatically a hopper. You can go to guest relations anywhere--including DTD and they will take care of you!

If the old tickets don't fit in the turnstiles, the new tickets you exchange them for will be equal or better in every respect. New tickets have been valid at Animal Kingdom, but (for hopper plus tickets) not valid at Disney Quest yet.

But...

Before you actually use up those old tickets, figure out how much more it would cost you this trip not to use them.

You will find that you save a lot on your ticket budget only if your vacation is 3 days or less, or if you have enough old tickets that you don't need to buy any new ones.

I know what you're saying but it depends on what you buy in addition to the old tickets. What I would do in that situation is still buy a 10-day MYW ticket to take advantage of the cost savings of the long ticket and just save the extra days on that one for a future trip. Of course, that assumes you will be going back to WDW at some point. If this is a once in a lifetime kind of trip, that wouldn't make sense.

I don't know about 15 years ago, but we bought 4-day "value" passes in 1996 that allowed one day at each of the 3 parks, and the 4th day was good at any one park. They were definitely NOT hoppers.
