Was she coming with you? Is she starting treatment right away? Do you know the seriousness of the diagnosis? Cancer is always bad, but some are worse than others.

No she's not coming with us, we got some positive news from the Dr that she might not have to go thru chemo

So sorry to hear about your mom. I obviously don't know the specifics of her diagnosis, but cancer treatment can be a very long road. Unless there is a very immediate concern, I wouldn't cancel your trip. Certainly it will be tough to be away, but I would go and make the best. Prayers to you and your family.
