15 & 16 yr old - where can they go alone?

My dd and I are traveling to WDW in Oct, with another mom and her dd to celebrate our dd's 13th birthdays. The girls are looking forward to being in the parks on their own, so to speak. They will have a cell phone to check in with us, and we will be in the same park. But after 10+ trips, my dd can probably give advice to some of the CMs!!! She really knows her way around all the parks quite well. Well, maybe not AK quite as well.
I don't think I would let them do DQ alone though. That would make me nervous. It is very congested, busy and I have to think that if there were someone that wanted to do something bad, this would be the place to do it. There are just so many kids running around, unsupervised that it would make me nervous to think of my dd in there with heaven knows who and me nowhere to be seen. I know, I know....a bit over the top but that place was just too crazed for me!!

I will let my DD15 and DS17 go it alone if they want when we go. I know I will want to go to bed earlier than they will, so they can go out and do what they want. They are both really good kids, and don't give me any worry.

My 2 DS's have been going off alone since last March when they were 14 and 15. They have to stay together and they must always have their cell phones and have certian check in times but I think now that they have been to WDW so many times it is like being at home. They know the transportation system and always stay together just in case. However this is only in the parks not at DTD. I would feel some hesitation at having them wander through DTD where there are so many ways in or out. Somehow the idea that if there was a problem they would have to pass someone to leave a park makes me feel better. Ultimatley you guys have to decide what you feel comfortable with because nothing ruins a trip faster then spending hours worrying where your child is and what they are doing. princess:
