Our family will be in WDW from 8/20-9/3/11. We are vacation club members with home resort SSR and will be staying in a treehouse villa for the first time. It will be myself, DH, DD 11 and DS 12. We like variety and will be on the dining plan an plan on dining at the following:

Breakfast: Boma, Kona (oop) and WCC (oop)

Lunch: LeCellier, Coral Reef and Yak & Yeti

Dinner: CRT (oop), California Grill, Citricos (oop), LTT, Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Package), Captain's Grille Yacht Club, Garden Grill, Kona, San Angel Inn, Ohana and Turf Club

Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated!:)

Those Treehouses look awesome! I can definitely understand why you would want to dine at the Turf Club--we had a decent meal there though others have raved over it! Since you will be so close to DD, it might not be a bad idea to look at some of the restaurants there. In particular with kids the ages of yours, I would consider paying OOP at T-Rex Cafe. That is the only repeat request DS13 and DS7 have from their visit in May when they were 6 and 12. We all loved eating there! (Even our much older sons thought it was the coolest place ever)

Are you on the regular DDP? If you are, I would consider paying all your breakfasts OOP, even Boma (all really good choices, IMO).

Lunches--been all those places, too. I am of the camp that agrees with the title "Yuck and Yeti", but you may need to make your own decision on that. Our entire party of eight was disappointed with all aspects of our meal. Le Cellier is a great choice. With careful ordering (read reviews on various sites) Coral Reef can be a good choice and is a great environment! Personally, the odor of the lobster bisque makes me nauseous, and I think the lava cake has way too much something...but others seem to like these items. Favorites at our table were by far the salmon sandwiches.

Dinner: With a daughter the age of yours, you need to dine at the CRT! I don't think there is any chance you'll be disappointed at Citrico's--it has some of the most consistently positives reviews of any restaurant. I think LTT is a bust now that there are no characters. :confused3. We MUCH prefer the lunch menu. I think Captain's Grille will be fine but not exceptional--you'll have a good meal. Kona should be great, San Angel very good...'Ohana is just one of those things you have to do at WDW if you haven't done it before. For our part, there is no need to go there again any time soon (I think over the years we have dined there five times or so--used to be much better back in the day...) Mama Melrose--not fantastic but your best option for the package.

Final thoughts--I think you have a pretty nice, balanced plan for your dining experience. With you owning at SSR there is no hurry to try every place the first time. I am really glad to see that you are avoiding all the character steam buffet meals such as Chef Mickey's! You have done yourself a great favor!

Have fun!

Wow I am so jealous! Those all sound fantastic! I especially love Kona, Boma and WCC! :santa: Have a great time!

Thanks for the responses and keep them coming please! Any and all advice is welcomed to include the places you love and the ones that were not as good as you had anticipated. Thanks! :)

I have only eaten at a few of the restaurants you have listed, but I will give you my opinion of those. We loved Le Cellier and ate there twice our last trip. Yak and Yeti was ok, but not as good as I was expecting. Our whole family enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Ohana. No one in our family liked San Angel Inn at all. We will never eat there again.

A restaurant that we really enjoyed that was not on your list was Tutto Italia. Food, service and atmosphere were all great and we will return on our next visit.

I really want to try Kona for breakfast and dinner on our next trip. I think the menus look awesome and the reviews seem consistently good.

Good luck and have a great trip!

We love Yak and Yeti for lunch. We have gone there the last four visits and have always been happy with the food and service. If you like spicy, ask them to bring the hot sauce. Your choices all look good. I agre, you should consider Tutto Italia or even Via Napoli. The new Mexican TS is good too. Koussina looks good, if you like Greek, but we have never eaten there to make a firm recommendation. Have a great trip!

Breakfast: Boma, Kona (oop) and WCC (oop)

Lunch: LeCellier - I actually prefer lunch to dinner in the past. Easier to get and all. May be tougher this year since the change. We'll also want to keep an eye on the menu changes that should be coming next week., Coral Reef and Yak & Yeti

Dinner: CRT (oop), California Grill, Citricos (oop)- 1,000 times good. Did this last year and it was great., LTT, Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Package), Captain's Grille Yacht Club, Garden Grill, Kona, San Angel Inn - Did lunch last year, but it was excellent. Great atmosphere, service was stellar, and food was delicious. Seems like they've gotten a lot better than a few years ago when ratings were considerably down., Ohana and Turf Club

Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated!:)

We really enjoyed Yak & Yeti and the service was outstanding. Ohana is a must for every trip. Also enjoyed the Turf Club and Coral Reef. We were so so on San Angel Inn. The service was extremely slow and the food was okay but it was a really neat restaurant to see.
