Ok, for my second post... I think I posted on the wrong board before :)

Hi everyone. Me and my partner love Disney and went to Florida in 2007. We've decided that we'll take our daughter too but until shes old enough to appreciate the money spent on going to florida we'll go to Disneyland Paris instead. She'll be 14 months when she goes so hopefully walking, any ride reccomendations for her?

Also, we're going 20th September. Any idea what the weather will be like. Would you pack for warm and cold?

Help please
xx

p.s v.v. excited to see our LOs face

hi and welcome

you will have a great time. have you been to dlrp before?

all of the rides in fantasyland are suitable for babies. just be aware that pinnochio and snow white are dark rides that kids could find scary.

in adventureland there is potc but there are two small drops in that. my dd was 22 month when i first went but that was a firm fave.

in discoveryland there is buzz lazer blast it is loud and with bright lights. and orbitron.

in frontierland there is phantom manor again you will know if your dd would be frightened by it.

in the studios there is a cars ride and a flying carpet ride.

dont forget the shows she will love them.

and of course the parade and character meet and greets are a must.

there will be nothing like the look on her face. my dd was in awe of it all.

sept should be warm enough but it will get a bit colder in the evenings #

Hi, not had chance to log on here for ages due to a very sick and poorly pc, however our dd celebrated her 1st birthday in Disneyland Paris and she just loved it !! Like Ash's mum said there is lots to do, our dd loved the teacups, Peter Pan, Snow White, POTC, It's A Small World, the Carousel, to name a few !! The flying carpets in the Studios are also fab !

Have fun planning your trip :goodvibes

Thanks for your replies. We've never been to DLRP before and honestly its a filler Disney trip until shes old enough to warrant spending the money on going to florida.
Also to 'Tillybud', I've noticed the pic of your LO in a minnie costume. Was wondering where you got it?Practically no costumes for 1 year olds!

I'm going the 21st September, the same week i went last year.

It was chilly in the mornings but by the afternoon it was really nice and warm. Not too hot and not too cold, lovely.

Great time of year to go as the crowds are light and you can move about the park more easily with the baby. Have fun!

the minnie dress was from the disney store in the UK, however the photo was taken on our last trip in October when she was 2. The dresses do come up quite small but I believe Toys R Us may actually do a small 12-18 month, 18-24 month range of Disney Princess dresses which look really cute and a ballerina type length. The Minnie dress is our second one, the first one we had was returned as all the spots came off the first time I washed it even though it was turned inside out and washed with one pink t-shirt !!! I think you may also be able to buy smaller sized outfits on ebay too. Happy shopping !!! On our first trip I made dd a pink fluffy tulle tutu which she wore with a pink tinkerbell tshirt and she looked so cute and got so much attention, it was fab !!
